Kaloogian has also been endorsed by Steve Forbes:

Well, Bilbray also went on an Abramoff paid trip to the Marianas Islands, so I imagine that won't help that much either!

"Some of the lawmakers Abramoff arranged to travel to the islands included Reps. Dana Rohrabacher and Brian Bilbray, both California Republicans, and Ralph Hall, a Texas Democrat."

Hi Newzjunkey:

Morrow doesn't live in the district. Remember, he ran against Issa for Issa's congressional seat and lost. He's a constituent of the now current Congressman Darrell Issa. I don't think the voters are going to vote for a guy who is shopping around for congressional seats, especially when the current one he's seeking he doesn't even live in.

Dr. Dobson is a pretty respected guy who has a huge national following -- especially in Southern California -- for his straight-forward advice on raising a family. He is as wholesome as they come. His endorsement of Kaloogian will mean a lot to people who think Congress has lost it's way.

Bilbray will not be helped by his association with Abramoff and going on a free foreign trip. Being endorsed by Issa, who was a big recipient of money from the same guys implicated in the Cunningham scandal, doesn't help Bilbray on the integrity front. They may not have done anything wrong, but the public is looking for a candidate that someone like Dr. Dobson would endorse.

So it will be a big shot in the arm to Kaloogian.

got this the other day... It sounds like Bilbray is out of touch with the 50th CD... surprising that Issa would endorse such a liberal. Maybe he didnt know the extent of Bilbray's liberal record?

You had the Log Cabins giving money to Bilbray.

More noteworthy to those cultural conservatives in North County (who won't like Bilbray's liberal views on social issues) is the fact that Bilbray serves on the National Advisory Board for the Log Cabin Republicans.
