We are now in the final days of the federal election campaign and as predicted the race started to turn ugly after the Christmas break. The sinking and ever desperate Liberals found that they can’t scare Canadians with Stephen Harper’s "hidden agenda", the tactic that worked so well in 2004.

Eugene Rivers has what Canadians do not have--he has American values, which we all know are different than Canadian values. He has the view that taking action and being responsible is not something that is reserved to various levels of government.

I always thought that the Canadians did have American values. Their current cajones-less attitude is sheer, but temporary, madness. Where has all the backbone gone? Cut off by women's lib? Torn apart by the ultra-socialist (and very female-victim) attitude that Canadians CAN'T do anything without mommy-government? Have the 30-something mommies taken over the entire Canadian government?

Canadians of lore were personified by Duddley DoRight of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.....the personification of moral rectitude, strength, guts and strong character....NOT a "male" attitude at all but certainly the antithesis of what's going on there today. Has P.C. and fear of being called "racists" scared them into such cowardice?
I don't think so and think that many Canadians CRINGE at their world image. Maybe I'm dead wrong.
