In the cases on which this book focuses, the man is not the armed stranger jumping from the bushes--nor yet the black man jumping the white woman, the case that was most likely to result in the death penalty prior to 1977, and the stereotype that may explain in part the seriousness with which a white male criminal justice system has addressed "stranger" rape. Instead the man is a neighbor, an acquaintance, or a date. The man and the woman are both white, or both black, or both Hispanic. He is a respected bachelor, a student, a businessman, or a professional. He may have been offered a ride home or invited in. He does not have a weapon. He acted alone. It is, in short, a simple rape.

Susan Estrich, Real Rape

Shock and denial.

Juanita's behavior was entirely consistent with a victim of 'simple' rape.

During the investigation of the clintons' sordid 30-year history of rape and predation that resulted in HIS impeachment and HER election to the Senate, 'rape specialists' interviewed Juanita Broaddrick and concluded that her testimony and behavior were perfectly consistent with having been raped by clinton, someone she knew, someone who was powerful to the point of having the ability to destroy her life, someone who, as AG (and soon-to-be Governor), was charged with enforcing the laws of the state in which the rape occurred.

To understand the behavior of the victim of 'simple' rape, it is instructive to consider something else Estrich wrote about this clinton-clinton-Broaddrick kind of rape:

[In simple rape] one finds... a far more sophisticated discrimination in the distrust of women victims [emphasis mine]: all rapes and all victims are not treated equally. As the doctrine of rape law were developed in the older cases, distinctions were drawn, explicitly and implicitly, between the aggravated, jump-from-the-bushes stranger rapes and the simple cases of unarmed rape by friends, neighbors, and acquaintances. It was primarily in the latter cases that distrust of women victims was actually incorporated into the definition of the crime and the rules of proof.--ibid.

Yes I've seen this a few times before. I'm familiar with the fact that he would have had a great deal to do with legislation and other matters that could negatively effect her business. But, I still do not see her attending that function. I cannot remember, was her lip still swollen at that event?

I just wish when she let Hillary squeeze her hand so long, she would have sliced it off.

Just kidding about that, but when I visualize that lying SOCIALIST staring into Juanita's eyes.................. this quote again comes to mind:

"I think for me, the sickest and scariest kind of rage is the Hillary Clinton kind of rage. You know, the perpetual permafrost smile she wears that's hiding a well of fury deeper than Barry White's voice during a bout of pneumonia." -- Dennis Miller

******

As Julia Gorin described her -- "She's a type, a mold, a case study. It's The Compulsively Lying Psychobroad-Striver-whose-Ambitions-are-Ahead-of-her-Talents Phenomenon."

Boy, does that hit the nail right on the head?
