Actually the first chapter in his latest book, Our Culture, What's Left Of It (got two copies for Christmas, one from daughter and one from nephew - they know the kind of reading I like).......

Great read. There's deep wisdom in there enough for liberals and libertarians alike to scorn. Neither group "gets it."

Ping for an excellent article on the observable consequences of socialism plus moral relativism.

Where does this evil come from? There is obviously something flawed in the heart of man that he should wish to behave in this depraved fashion—the legacy of original sin, to speak metaphorically.

To answer in one word: Pride

A good article.

I ask only one question: When a society goes to such great lengths as Britain has to deny its citizens the right to self defense and implies that it is able to provide what is manifestly impossible -- effective protection for every person -- then just what do you expect but rampant, violent crime?

Short-term solution: Self-defense and effective punishment.

Long-term solution: Christianity.

I should have done this in the first place:
ISBN 1-56663-505-5
Ivan R. Dee, Publisher. (out of Chicago)
Softcover
