A good article.
I ask only one question: When a society goes to such great lengths as Britain has to deny its citizens the right to self defense and implies that it is able to provide what is manifestly impossible -- effective protection for every person -- then just what do you expect but rampant, violent crime?
Short-term solution: Self-defense and effective punishment.
Long-term solution: Christianity.
