"Oh no, not another attack,...followed by relief with the praise that followed. Definitely it was the combo that triggered the tears,IMO." (of Alito by Graham).
Could also have been the culmination of weeks of torture the entire family has had to put up with by rabid rats creating every slur, slang comment or untruth about her husband that could possibly be invented by the rats and then finally someone has something good to say.
It's as if the truth came out after weeks of lies.Could make anyone cry.

It looks like Schumer beat Biden in arm wrestling last night. I cannot stand listening to him another minute after this past week of hearings. That is an amazing testiment to your tolerance. I cannot stand to listen to him EVER.

They don't have American politics in Europe...just monarchy and socialism.
The Communists called the National Socialists "the right" but they were all cut from the same cloth, vying for authoritarian control.
The Socialists use that circular political map as a sales tool for centrist socialism, deeming both the right and left bad, and meeting somehow at the bottom. (going full circle)
Of course, they're all left.
American Constitutionalists do not have a place on that map.

Since you are in Denver, what happened to the property of good old Lowry AFB? The AF sent me back for advanved courses 3 times. There was a biker bar on the street off 6th Avenue. Just on the other side of the fence:):)
Good food and brew and pool tables.

I'm curious. Do you know how Fox Opinion Dynamic Polls are conducted? Are people randomly phoned? Do they poll only registered voters, etc?
To: ROCKLOBSTER
Aw, now that's not a fair statement to our friends in Britain. That's where we got our political structure and ideas from. ;-)
We fought to have the rights of Englishmen. They soon became our allies, unlike the French who tried to demand one million dollars from our early government. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

just got here...
DANG! Ya'll have been BUSY! NO WAY I could possibly catch up....
Anyone feel up to filling me in....
Did ANYONE on the shows today BLAST Kennedy for bringing a satirical piece into a government confirmation hearing ans masquerading it as some kind of "evidence" to impune the character of an honorable man?

Be careful...you are coming dangerously close to the DUmmies theory that Lindsay..who helped prep Alito...pre-staged the scene with Alito and his wife BEFORE the hearings...
LOL...I am kidding, sort of...I am not a Graham fan..and his increasing TV persona has become more McCain-like every day...but, I don't fault him for injecting some emotion into the proceedings..
I think that we..here at Fr..spend so much time watching these guys...either on the news or like Fudd and I do..by watch the Senate on C-span...so we become sort of "used" to the insults and lies that are thrown out by the dems...
but, if you think about it...most Americans..and probably Mrs. Alito took the constant barrage of accusations of bigotry by her husband as sincere accusations...not their regular hyperbolic rhetoric...
Therefore, it probably did just build up over 3 days, to the point that when it was "apologized" for...it just happened.

I don't know if anyone made that point, other than Tony Snow yesterday.
Chris Matthews railed against the Dems.
The story of Joe Biden threatening to shove a rosary down any right wing (that's us) nut's throat if we said that he wasn't religious (This is funny because it's a complete misread of the election results. I am glad that they have their beanies on too tight at DNC central. LOL!)
Schumer behaving like a (rhymes with glass bowl).

a recent poll even showed DeWine in Ohio running ahead of the Hackett vet.
Which is really amazing considering how mad people are at Dewine. Read a thread here today that shows he probably will not be the Dem canidate though. He claims the American Religious Right is worse then Bin Laden!!!! That may sound good at the Moveon.org meetings, it is NOT going to sell to the average voter I am betting.

I believe your take is correct sometimes it is so easy to attribute bad motives to people because of past record. I believe in this instance he had just about had enough and he was embarrassed and felt an apology was needed and also the melodrama before hand is the only way the RATS understand as they do that so often, Graham got them at their own tactics.
