I think they want to believe and as long as they have anti-Administration sources disclosing selective bits of info the NYT will continue to push it. The NYT can say "hey, we are not making it up, we are just reporting what our sources tell us." They have told this and other lies because they have been successful in pushing it though to the other side. Once refuting facts come out, they backtrack some, but never seem to retract completely whether it's attempted uranium purchases or the NSA eavesdropping program. Every argument has two sides, one side may not have all the facts on their side, but they can still argue it.
Bookmarked for later.
Are you talking to me? I don't think so...because I haven't pointed the finger at anyone. You're talking to some made-up straw-man, some monster which inhabits your nightmares.
It was SISMI who accused the French and now accuses one of their own. If you disagree then post some sources.
No, larry, you posted that the documents were probably forged by SISMI. Your comment about made up monsters and nightmares is gratuitous and inane.
I posted an article which says that SISMI claimed that one of their former employees was the forger. I commented that earlier they had claimed the French were the forgers.
Not at all the same as pointing the finger.
Sorry. I'm tired. When did I post that the documents were probably posted by SISMI?
I think it was about November of last year. I believe it was in response to someone who wondered where the forged documents came from. It's no big deal. I've read all kinds of stories about the origin of the documents. But the most reasonable explanation I've found is that they came from, and were forged by, an employee in the Niger Embassy in Rome.
SISMI must have pretty good reasons for offering TWO alternate explanations.
The source, Daily Kos, is one to the most execrable of left-wing publications but this article is filled with pre-Wilson trip details. Very hard to come by and well-worth try ing to understand. I might have a go at it myself when I'm not so tired.

He caught you in a lie and you know it, you pathetic, intellectually bankrupt seditionist chickendove. Let me introduce you to the Maine State Bird, the quitcherbitchin.
I responded to you anyway.
Not strong on reading comprehension, are you? The lie I was referring to was when you continued to claim the Brits had thrown Dubya under the bus over the famous Sixteen Words.
Bush didn't lie. You lied. Ravingnutter and Dilbert56 proved it. You know it.
Let's also note that your uranium hexafluoride tap dance does not refute the fact that a bunker three times the size of your hypothetical factory was not discovered by us until there were Marines on the ground in the vicinity.
It does not change the details of the other, heavily contaminated nuclear facility Marines uncovered...what's your answer for that one, by the way?
It does not refute the fact that coalition forces have brought yellowcake out of Iraq.
It doesn't change the 23 reasons Congress cited for regime change in Iraq.
It doesn't change the fact that your hero, Bill Clinton, claimed to want regime change in Iraq because Iraqi WMD deployment was inevitable.
It doesn't change the fact that Iraq harbored, trained and funded terrorists.
So...if Dubya's such a liar, and you could respond to ravingnutter and to me in this thread, why haven't you responded to my challenge in post 32 of this thread?
I'll even propose stakes: The winner gets to dictate a tagline the other must use for their next 100 posts.
Gonna back it up, or are you a chickendove?
