I see where you are coming from, and it is a difficult situation WRT civil rights, however the only thing that article really states is that a group is being spied on. My question is who are the top members connected to? Have they made statements that would require them to be investigated. For instance, PeTA and Greenpeace were under surveillance too, and in the past they have publicly given money to arsonists.
There are many unknowns.
