Correction: it was the executor and not her lawyer who tried to talk her out of it. It's even funnier that she wanted the money to help pay off the national debt. (Pause for about 30 seconds)
there---it was that pause that her million paid off.(regard the national debt clock)

I believe you can even target your donation, like: "give it all to the Department of Defense".

I had a rich aunt who gave everything to the United Methodist Church. It was her money to do what she wanted with.

Disgusting - she should have donated to groups who work to reduce Fedl spending and Govt's take of citizen's labor.

Surely the Dems will put her on a pedestal to show the righteousness of taxing those "who have the ability" even more than the current 350% disparity between the lowest and highest tax rates.

And if you count those OFF the rolls altogether, but who get reverse taxes instead for each child @ $1,000/per, the tax rate disparity is infinite.\

It is also a crime that so many so-called conservatives accept so much of the socialism we already have and continue building it.

Socialism is the addictive opium elites feed Americans to gain ever more power. It has NEVER worked otherwise.

I recommend to all Don Luskin's book:

"The Conspiracy to Keep You Poor and Stupid - How Big Govt, Big Business, Big Media and Big Academe, Block Your Road to Financial Freedom and Tell you, It's For Your Own Good"

Let's see now, It will cost the tax payer several millions for the various bureaucrats to fill out the paperwork with several committee investigatory trips to Cancun, Hawaiie and Thailand just for the government to receive the money. Then the IRS will claim back taxes and penalties owed and the government will have to sue itself with outside counsel to settle the account. Followed by more even more committees in investigate how best to spend it. All told this will cost us anywhere from 10 million to a billion dollars.
