A woman got a 30-day jail sentence for leaving her three young children home alone for several hours while she and her boyfriend attended a videotaping of "The Jerry Springer Show."
Shannon Cook, 25, pleaded guilty earlier this week to misdemeanor child endangerment. She also was placed on probation for a year.
The two girls and one boy, all under the age of 4, have been placed in foster homes...
Police said Cook left the children alone at a suburban home Oct. 19 while she and her boyfriend went to Chicago for the taping.
About five hours later, the two oldest knocked on the door of a neighbor, who called police.
Cook was arrested when she returned home after midnight.
She said: "I didn't think I'd be gone that long."

Sounds like Jerry has the makings of a new episode!
Women who leave their children alone to watch the taping of Jerry Springer - and the men who go with them!
To: george76
Hey priorities man. Ya gotta have priorities and I mean how many times ya get a chance to be on Springer, hell with the kids for a while they can fend for themselves.
And ya can always have more kids, but like I say how many times ya get a chance to be on Springer? Priorities.

She has been busy.
Three kids in less than four years.
The article did not say what , or if, she had a job.

The article did not say if this boyfriend is the father of any of the kids.
Or if she knew the father or fathers of her three kids.

If there is even a shred of a silver lining to this story, it's that now, the children are with a foster family, and that should ease the taxpayer load (albeit minutely) for raising them.
I can say with an almost 99.99% chance of certainty that we taxpayers were already paying for them. Now, we still are, but someone may at least be contributing something to their care.
It's a small win, but it's still a win.

She likely got a check from the taxpayers for each kid plus food stamps plus...
With the kids gone to the state, she better start making more babies.

Unfortunately, these poor children have probably witnessed a lot in their young lives that has informed them of her advanced state of degeneracy.

Sheesh, and she reproduced.
