The Associated Press is reporting an outpouring of support for al Qaeda in Pakistan, and, in particular, for Osama bin Laden as a result of Americas attack on al Qaeda operatives over a week ago:
Sympathy for al-Qaida has surged after a U.S. airstrike devastated this remote mountain hamlet in a region sometimes as hostile toward the Pakistani government as it is to the United States.
A week after the attack, villagers insist no members of the terror network were anywhere near the border village when it was hit. But thousands of protesters flooded a nearby town chanting, Long live Osama bin Laden!"

According to AP? Well, then. I guess it's gotta be true.
good. more targets. bring it you pieces of trash, there's more than enough american bullets for your heads.
Does AP stand for Al Queda Proponents?!?
Oh, YEAH..........it's leftist propaganda from the AP. Moving right along.....
Makes it sound so quaint. Kind of like a scene from "Sound of Music"
I wonder, I just wonder if CNN, CBS, NBC, NY Times, WaPo, Katie Couric, Babs, etc., etc., etc. agree with the AP?
Nah, they wouldn't do anything like that.
If they did, I certainly couldn't predict it.
You know, that area of the world has pretty much successfully resisted centralized government rule since Alexander the Great. Anyone who represents such resistance is pretty much going to carry the day up there no matter what else they've done. The only way we get them to oppose Al-Qaeda or Osama Bin-Bombin is to raise the cost to more than they want to pay. And they'll be willing to pay a lot.
They don't get a vote in this. A lot more will die before Bin Ladin is proven dead, they can take that to the bank. Because we won't quit a moment before.
I have been taking a look at this posters activity and find it peculiar that he posts this leftist drival yet very rarely replies. Is there a troll among us? Do I smell meat for the viking kitties?
Next time there's an earthquake in northern Pakistan, don't look for Big Green or Gray US helicopters to come save your sorry assets.
Nah. He just likes Newsbusters.
?
Phoenix,
With all due respect, I think you need to read the entire article. This comes from NewsBusters. The point IS the liberal bias.

Time to solve India's problem, too? We take out Pakistan's nuclear capability, and let India do the rest.
OIC, my apologies.
Came across this little bit the other day:

(quote)....Abu Khabab al-Masri (WMD committee head)
Abd Rahman al-Masri al-Maghribi (al-Zawahiri's son-in-law, al-Qaeda commander)
Abu Ubeidah al-Masri (Kunar operations chief)
Marwan al-Suri (Waziristan operations chief)
Khalid Habib (southeastern Afghanistan commander)
Abdul Hadi al-Iraqi (southwestern Afghanistan commander)
Add to that Maulana Faqir Mohammed and Maulana Liaqat (local leaders of the Tehrik Nifaz-e-Sha'riah Mohammed, apparently)...........(enquote)
If that listing is only half accurate, I can see why the local Al Qaeda Fan Club is pitching a royal hissy fit......
First, they just lost most of the Al Qaeda version of the JCS but mostly because there is now absolutely no place they can feel secure.
Payback's a bahitch, ain't it?
I agree. No Muslim country should ever be permitted to possess a nuclear weapon, even if it requires us to annihilate them.

We also got al-Zawahiri's wife and kids a couple of years ago with a JDAM in Afghanistan. It's really personal between us and this guy. I'm trying hard to muster some tears for the innocent, but damn, they're just not coming.
