Hmmmm.. I'm guessing it was probably a female octopus. After all, a submarine is long, hard, and filled with seamen!!

Maybe he wasn't an old octopus but just a drunk octopus like (hiccup)Ted KennedyI Googled "The Aquaman Times", and ocean newspaper. According to their arcives, many years ago this octopus was involved in a crash of some sort where a pregnant female ended up on dry land and died. Seems the family has some clams and influence and had it swept under the reef...

I've heard octopus intelligence compared to housecats before. And I've known some smart housecats. Wily little things, they are.
But octopus is very tasty, all the same. Mmm. Octopus sushi. And since they only live for a max of five years anyway, what the hell.
