Pregnant Milwaukee Woman With 14 Kids Accused Of Abuse (WI)

(Children Created 'Safe House')

MILWAUKEE, WI -- A pregnant woman is in custody after police said they found three of her 14 children taking refuge in an abandoned house in Milwaukee.

Police spokeswoman Anne Schwartz said the 9-year-old twin boys and 6-year-old boy had scars and bruising to their backs, buttocks and faces.

The 35-year-old woman's six oldest children had been previously removed from her home by child welfare officials.

The remaining eight have since been removed. The children range in age from 3 to 20.

The three were found Thursday night in an abandoned house near 35th and Brown with no heat, water or electricity.

Police said the children had created a "safe house" where they'd go to escape their mother's beatings.

Authorities said the floor was covered with garbage and feces.

The three children found in the abandoned house told police their mother regularly punches them with her fist and hits them with belts and a broomstick.

Police said there had been complaints about the woman since 1997 related to the care of the children.

Police said she was arrested in 2000 accused of punching an 11-year-old son in the face, but the district attorney didn't prosecute.

Yikes. Had her first one at age 15? Poor kids. As usual, the last ones to be helped. They have complaints on her covering nearly a decade?

Hope that new baby finds a home, and they sterilize this lunatic.

Has court forced sterilization been ruled Unconstitutional? I think it has.

As a victim of child abuse I feel nothing but absolute RAGE at the woman. Daily whippings for that woman would be a just punishment in my mind.

Christ teaches us to forgive... I can not. That is too much for me to bear.

I'm only glad that my parents are no longer on this earth so that there is no chance for their poison to pass to my children. I also thank God that he has given me the wife I needed to break the cycle of abuse.

I don't think they can sterilize her. The same wacko's that support legalized murder (abortion) also support a woman's right to procreate. Sickening.

Sterilization makes sense, but the problem is who do you trust to make this decision, a gubmint flunkie? Some fool of a judge? We don't want to go back there, because you could be next. I know. They did it to my grandmother at a time when Black women had no rights.

Thank God the cycle will stop you with. God Bless

And I agree with your punishment idea.

I am also outraged at a community who did nothing.

Police said there had been complaints about the woman since 1997 related to the care of the children.

Since at minimum the 3 year old and the 6 year old have been born since then, if "The System" had done it's job and had the woman sterilized, that's two less kids that would have been beaten, and the rest could have been taken away and placed in homes with people who would raise them properly. That might include the occasional spanking or swat on the but-tocks (as Forrest might say), but not beatings, which is a whole other thing.

I hope the Child Welfare folks are proud of themselves, cause no one else surely is.

It's one of those things. Yeah, it's clearly a violation of private citizen's rights, IMHO.

However, in practical terms, I would agree people like this should NOT reproduce.

And the worst part is, assuming they survive to adulthood, all those kids of hers are going to turn out more or less like Mom. Maybe one will not, but most will.

If only her Welfare Payments had of been higher.

If she had been spayed, the license would have been cheaper, though.

Well they could incarcerate her, but why should the taxpayers foot the bill for that?

I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother. However making decisions like that is why we have judges, to apply judgment. The problem is that they haven't been held accountable for their mistakes, especially the systematic ones, such as discriminating against people based on the color of their skin, and not the quality of their character (or lack thereof).

Yeah. You're most likely correct. I'll put the Norplants in her arm myself, if it'll save a few more kids from the h#ll she's put the other 14 through...she's still got a few good breeding years left in her, unfortunately. *Rolleyes*

You're right, but I hope you will believe me when I say it NEVER occured to me what her color was; Wisconsin has a whole rainbow of women that abuse their children. Unfortunately. We had a Hmong Grandmother leave her young grandchildren alone, they started a fire in the house and killed themselves. We have white women leaving their unwanted newborns in dumpsters, eventhough we have that law that allows you to leave a new baby at a hospital or police station and you can just walk away.

I could go on, but I'm depressing myself...

You're right. I know of a doctor in 1920s-40s Virginia who sterilized just about every black woman he could, and they had no idea what he was doing to them. That's despicable and inhumane.

No, for those idiots, beatings and abuse are just fine.

Now.......if the mother had been a Christian homeschooler, they would have fallen all OVER themselves taking her kids away, donchaknow.

Maybe she "entertains" out of the house? "Johns" aren't known for their good taste.

Two of the kids are twins so it's a maximum of 14 different sperm donors.
