UN nuclear chief calls on U.S. to provide Iran with reactors
Haaretz ^ | January 27, 2006

DAVOS - UN nuclear chief Mohamed ElBaradei on Friday called on the United States to provide Iran with nuclear reactors, and urged Tehran to declare a moratorium on enriching uranium for at least eight years.

He said eight or nine years would enable the country to earn the confidence of the international community that it was really interested in nuclear energy - not nuclear weapons.

Yep, let's give em plenty more time to build nuclear weapons and hide them.

All you gotta do is look at ElBaradei's first name to know where his allegiance is.

"UN nuclear chief Mohamed ElBaradei on Friday called on the United States to provide Iran with nuclear reactors."

Let's just cut to the chase and provide them with a couple of nuclear weapons. I hear the Air Force delivers.

Fortunately, unlike North Korea, the beardbrains in
Tehran are not going to accept this offer.

And the turn-down may be useful in the pretense-at-
diplomacy going on while the real remedies are planned.
So El B may actually be doing us a favor.

But don't tell him that.

Yeah right. Why bother? Why don't we just go ahead and kill ourselves and save time?

Why don't more people realize that the insane Islamofascists are at total war with Western civilization and want to kill us all?

Push is coming to shove, why don't we just push and shove them all first and get it over with?

Life is binary. I choose me over them.

"This does not address Iran's expressed plan to bomb Israel."

Iran and other muslim nations have explicitely stated their intentions regarding Israel publicly, to the UN and as part of UN functions. So the UN's behavior indicates approval of these intentions.

Okay. We build it AND we run it in exchange for their oil. All of it. At $10 a barrel. They need electricity not weapons right? What a deal for them!

Why don't we provide ourselves with nuclear reactors first so we can generate power that way and not have to buy their damn oil?

Oh no, too sensible. Eco-libs wouldn't approve. Not gonna happen.

"We are running in a race against time," he said

Yes we are, a race to avoid barbarians EXTERMINATING a entire race of people. I would however; like to thank El Baradei for admiting the u.n. is powerless to control, police or adjudicate in this matter. Now we can take care of it and quit dancing around diplomatic channels, we can take out their nuclear facilities.

I think it might also be a interesting exercise to freeze El Baradei's assets and see just where the money came from to propose this daring plan of his, as always............follow the money.

The UN is a non-governmental organization, an NGO. Nothing they say has any necessary bearing on reality. UNESCO a few decades ago attempted to put all history on a computer. Sounded like a good idea at the time, like an attempt to put earth's climate on computer. Those employed by the UN are actually working for NGOs within the big NGO, and all completely independent of each other. There is no reason to listen to what any of these employees has to say any more than the guy on the next barstool.

Somewhere in this convoluted reasoning there is an appeal to being "fair".

There is an approaching gunfight in which the opponent is as yet armed only with a knife, and the protagonist is supposed to toss him a loaded gun....

I cannot see a good outcome in any of these proposals.

In a perfect world, the choice of an oil-producing country to convert their national energy sources from petroleum-based to nuclear-based would translate to having more energy to export, and on balance, for the world this would be a good thing. Maximizes the amount of product for sale, while not eating their own seed corn.

But bearded men with burning eyes are running Iran today, and anything they lay their hands upon is being used as a weapon, be it economic, or cultural, or just the physical means of damage on a massive scale.

Hey El Baradei, fine. We like your idea. As a matter of fact we are in the planning stages to air drop several reactors to the Iranians soon.

These will be "fast" reactors...actually classed as "extremely fast" reactors, of our own design.

Thanks for the suggestion, El Boy. Always happy to further the aims of the UN...!

Uranium power plants are a great invention and should be in use worldwide, especially in China and India where the coal smoke sometimes gets bad. Especially China. Of course, oil sales would be much less, and coal even less than that. Iran would have a hard time getting by on carpet sales.

Although comparing the Angry Ayatollahs to the average 2 year old is an insult to most 2 year olds.
