Iraqi General: Syria Gave Al Qaida Saddam's WMDs

A former senior military advisor to Saddam Hussein is warning that the chemical weapons used by top Al Qaida terrorist Abu Musab al Zarqawi in a foiled 2004 plot to attack Amman, Jordan were the same weapons Saddam Hussein transported to Syria before the U.S. invasion.

Gen. Georges Sada offered the stunning revelation Saturday while explaining why he didn't decide to go public about Saddam's hidden WMD stockpile until recently.

"As a general, you see, we should keep our secrets," Gen. Sada told WABC Radio's Monica Crowley. But when news broke of the foiled WMD attack on Amman, he changed his mind.

"I understood that the terrorists were going to make an explosion in Amman in Jordan . . . . and they were targeting the prime minister of Jordan, the intelligence [headquarters] of Jordan, and maybe the American embassy in Jordan - and they were going to use the same chemical weapons which we had in Iraq," he told WABC.

Intelligence Summit

A former military intelligence analyst, who currently works as a civilian contractor, believes he has found a cache of extremely confidential--and very shocking--audio recordings of Saddam Hussein's office meetings. The audiotapes, which had apparently been overlooked, were found in a warehouse along with many other untranslated Iraqi intelligence files. These tapes are extremely significant, since they may be the best evidence yet of Saddam's secret intentions concerning weapons of mass destruction.

Before 9/11, many intelligence experts were convinced that a very strong and important Iraqi WMD connection existed, only to change their minds when no concrete evidence of that connection could be uncovered in the three years following the beginning of Iraqi war.

Because of the considerable historical importance of this stunning recent development, the contractor who obtained and reviewed these tapes plans to release them to the public on February 17, 2006 at the Intelligence Summitsm, a non-partisan, non-profit conference open to the public, scheduled to be held at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City Hotel in Arlington, Virginia that weekend.

Good thing we don't use serious interrogation methods on captured Generals. They just might tell us something really useful - like how, where and when those WMD's were transported to Syria.

But, the man does have a conscience. Why, he feels rather bad that those WMD's might have been wasted on Arabs, as opposed to their proper use against civilians in the western world.

I suggest the US get serious, and hold the crumpets when they serve him his tea, and maybe use a less than Sterling platter when doing so. That'll break him.

It's only a matter a time before these "Non-existing" WMD resurface. Syria? Iran? God knows..... but there out there.

Yep I want to see the pilots come forward and who ever else can verify his accounts. I believe him, I know it will be above the fold in the NYT, sure they will report it, if told by Bush the sun will rise tomorrow they would say it's a lie.

I think I'll put more stock in it when I see it from someone other than NewsMax.

Fool me once, and all that. I've been burned way too many times by them...

I would love to see these weapons show up, but I think this general's credibility is questionable. He's been revealing things over the past week that are a little too good to be 100% accurate. I think the details in his book are about to be "Frey"-ed when placed under scrutiny.
