I'll take nothing then.
I care if my nation is overrun with illegals.
I don't have to vote for people who want to overrun my nation with illegals.

Well, you'll still have your issue then.

Are you referring to the Kyl/Cornyn type bill, or the McKennedy type Bill. If you are arguing for the positives of the Kyl/Cornyn Bill, I can accept that. On the other hand, McKennedy is another blanket amnesty, and we should be able to do better.

You can't prevent Americans from committing crimes, but you can prevent non-Americans from entering the country ILLEGALLY - certainly a lot better than we're doing now.

So?
Because we have some criminal citizens, we should allow criminals from other countries?
Typical Liberal debate tactic, excuse one negative with another.
To: Howlin
so you intend to vote for persons wanting to overrun the nation with illegals?

True. But, on the positive side, I read an article or two which said that Alito is pretty tough on illegal immigration matters, or, at least tougher than our lawmakers have been. I read those too. That is probably why he got passed over for the nomination in the first place.

No question the Bush man gets an "F" for immigration reform, but I got to give him an "A" for 2 Supremes, lower taxes and the war on terrorism. We're much better off with him then (God forbid) Gore or Kerry. No one here would dispute that, I'm positive of that. We all have our various disagreements with the President on certain aspects of his agenda. Phyllis just loses credibility with most right thinking folks when she refers to the President in the same manner the leftist goobers in cyberspace do on a continual basis.

If she's so intelligent, why did she use it?
Note the tone of the article..... 3 short para. about the alledged title and then the remaining dozen or so about a single issue.
My guess is that the base if far from the single issue put up a fence crowd.... They maybe a tenth or so, who knows. The immigration issue needs to be address and the resources attached to do the job but when all is said and done President Bush isn't running for election come 2008.... They seem to forget that little tidbit. Seems their rants need to be directed to those that will be running, legislating or setting policy in 08 and beyond. Live in the past and be doomed to failure.... kinda like the buggy whip manufactures association and its union members.
Hey take care... off to the doctor. Looking forward to tonigh..

Bush is trying, but as usual for the unappeasables, it's all or nothing.
Be happy with nothing if you must.

I find it interesting that on a day when the President won a big victory for our team, there are so many threads about him selling out his base being posted.
This happens EVERY time.
