Police plan to close off Post and Powell streets at the square. In addition, the northbound lane of Geary Street and the westbound lane of Stockton Street will be closed.

Didn't you read the title? ... They're protesting "Rush Hour".

(They aren't unfocused, they'll just protest a rainy day.... they think political activism is the cure for the common cold. But if you remember that it's not about solutions, it's about 'making your feelings known' then it all starts to make a fuzzy sense. )

That's why I go home at 2 p.m. The usual suspects aren't even out of bed yet. ;)

They're still hoping to stop the Alito nomination.

I used to walk from the Wadsworth grounds maintenance yard past the oil derrick across Sepulveda, then through the cemetery and on up through UCLA to the campus bus stop at the top of the hill to catch a shuttle going to Canoga Park.

Why does anyone in San Francisco think that anyone else in the country really cares what they protest?? *seriously*... What impact do they think this will have? It's an island for crying out loud... with nothing really worthwhile to give but grief. The Financial Center it once was left with the Savings and Loan debacle. And don't even get me started on the populace. Like *this* is going to have much more of a negative impact on traffic than an accident. *laugh*

Anymore, to get protests to be worth anything, you're going to have to do better than that, and protest something worthwhile to someone more than yourself.
