Actually, US DoD regulations notwithstanding, I think it's a valid question. I couldn't help but admire the fact that LBJ sent both his sons-in-law to Viet Nam
Please explain how President Bush can force his adult children into the Armed Forces.

I do not, repeat, do not, question some people's patriotism. What is your problem, man? Let's get over this.
To: jeltz25
Just as soon as Chelsea Clinton, Karenna Gore, Kristin Gore, and Al Gore, III join up, I would imagine.

Why do you think that J25 and ROTR are the same person?

There is no way I would advocate or suggest that the President should force his daughters into the military. I simply said I admired LBJ for sending his sons-in-law to Viet Nam. For crying out loud, can't a conservative admire courageous acts of a liberal?

I responded to a post #3 by Jeltz25, I was then responded to as if by this poster by ROTR in post #21. You can look at the posts yourself, then tell me what you think.
BTW, you still haven't told me how you know my name, JK, I know it's from Stripes. That is one of my favorite movies too.

"son-in-laws"
Should that be sons-in-law"?
Just curious.

I responded to a post #3 by Jeltz25, I was then responded to as if by this poster by ROTR in post #21. Often times we respond to posts and posters without being the actual postee. Just like now, I'm responding but I just came on this thread to read.
Learn to chill and how to read posts. I believe the latter poster was commenting that the previous poster had a good question.
It's obvious to me and would be to most regulars that they are not the same person. You need to get out more. :-)

Actually, Crusader, I agree with you about women in war. I'm surprised you misunderstood my comments.
To: phoenix0468
I read back through the exchange a couple of times. It appears to me that ROTR jumped into the discussion (#21) because he didn't agree with your comment (#11). I don't see anything to make me believe that he is J25 who posted #3.
I didn't know your first name. I just used that quote because I thought you were overreacting and thought you should lighten up, so I attempted to use a humorous quote to make my point. It appears I failed.

Well then my appologies to ROTR. It appeared that the poster was responding as if I were posting directly. Thanks Swamp and snippy for pointing that out to me.

I expect we all have been through it before. It's a good lesson to pause a little bit before posting sometimes, not easy...but a good thing when you can do it. :-)

Ok, so what of Jeltz25 in #3. That's a pretty ignorant comment IMO.

I just wanted to repost this part since you missed it earlier. I caught the humor, and actually find it funny. As far as lightening up, this is an online forum. If you think I go home worrying about what someone says or thinks of me from this forum, your mistaken. I only come here for the usual conservative conversation and frequent well discussed debates. When someone starts to attack me, I usually just ignore it. If someone were to call me a troll, I would just post back with a laugh. I wouldn't get insulted as ROTR did. Not that I blame him, he is entitled to his reaction. But don't think I take this stuff seriously at all.

Looks like he or she doesn't want to respond. Not every post is worth a discussion or debate depending on how tired I am and after all, we are all entitled to our opinions.
