Paul Craig Roberts is a true Reaganesque paleoconservative and a a great American hero. I used to read his great and enlightening articles in Business Week at the time when he was on the Reagan administration.

Among the matters proved:
Roberts lied or was ignorant about the fact that the Patriot Act would NOT create a secret police.
Roberts apparently thought Secret Service meant the same thing as secret police
Roberts said the "secret police" would be able to arrest people if they happen to witness a crime, or suspect a crime is in progress. It turns out that is the same power that already is given to all police officers and even private citizens.
