That's significant observation, in my view, within many contexts including, most especially, a Christian moral one. The context of work and how we earn and/or accept money for what deeds and/or purpose is very key to this issue.
There is ANOTHER and unspoken purpose that motivates the lie that convinces some people that prostitution, theft, dishonesty, are necessary inorder to support onesself or even to generate money. It is a lie that lies beneath the surface, quite literally, that serves to convince some people that they have no other choices other than to engage in certain behaviors.
Some even are never told anything but that lie but I've yet to ever know of any human who did not intuitively understand that their actions (lying, prostitution, theft) were wrong on some level, even aside from a religious one (and thus, drug use, other substance abuse is often also present).
I had forgotten about that part. Point taken.
They are there when the women decide they really need them. Beautiful story.
