Turned on the radio, happened to catch the last segment of the John Batchelor show. He was interviewing Jeb Babbin....who many of us know and respect, and read his columns. I was absolutely stunned by what Babbin just said...hadn't seen/heard it anywheres..and thought it merits reposting for your benefit....
Maybe somebody on the Levin threads knows...............who listens and posts?
SoCalPol listens to Mark every day.
I listed to Mark Levin from 3-5 everyday. Check out
the live thread and also the site MARKLEVINFAN has back
files of his programs
It does not matter if the person is an elected official.
A crime is a crime. And a senator, who willfully discloses classified info, is subject to the same penalties as anyone else.
That is what our democracy is supposed to be about - both equal protection and equal prosecution and conviction.
So, I say, we should convict and hang the bast##ds!
Yeah the picture that it congers up is revolting. This will be very interesting and that thread should be pretty informative. I will bet that "Mr Potato head" Tim Russert does not bring it up on his show, and I would be willing to bet that the other liberal biased Shows don't either.
and I heard him actually say, on TV, that when the Syrian leader expressed doubts that Bush would really attack, (neither he nor Saddam thought the US had the guts too - and Saddam had his buddies - Russia, France and Germany, all on the take with the oil/food program - who assured him they wouldn't let an attack okay thru' the UN - was strutting and posturing. But Rockefeller proudly said that he, himself, assured Syria that Bush WAS going to attack. This is when Saddam got busy and trucked/flew the WMD into Syria.
So - why isn't what Rockefeller did treason?
Mark was talking about a letter that has been written and signed by a bunch of ex-Clintonistas, lawyers, ex-intell. and such, that will be admitted into evidence next week...
Of course, it is totally anti-Bush...even though their boss, Clinton did the same thing...and some of them even argued for Clinton's right to do it..
Mark gave a website to get the full text of the letter, but I didn't think to write it down, and I don't remember.
Probably the best person to ask about this would be AliVeritas...if she was listnening...because she keeps everthing for further use.
Will the real "Culture of Coruption" please stand up!
Hopefully, Chris Wallace will talk about it on Fox...but, if he doesn't, no one will.
she keeps "everything?"
"The administration is not sure how to proceed. Babbin doesn't think they have the guts to indict a US senator. He said it would cause a battle royal on the Hill, if not a constitutional crisis.
If they don't now, on this, they might as well forget about ever trying to any thing else.
They gave all the Clinton corruption a pass.
Jay Rockerfeller was also the Senator who made a fast trip to Syria and the ME not long before the invasion of Iraq, too."
I'm a firm believer in a test of: Reverse the facts and the party affiliations. If the Dems were sitting in the Republican's places, would they indict? If the answer is yes, then our answer sure as hell should also be YES! The main reason that the Pubbies lose many times is that we always feel like we must play "by the rules." The Dims have no such compunctions!
Seems to me that if even the non-relevant (neutral) questions are not disclosed, the subject would show more stress than would normally be shown if the the neutral question(s) were known beforehand.
I think non-disclosure would be responsible for establishing a false baseline and could possibly cloak 'control' question stress -- assuming that they would use control questions. Some do and some don't.
Any truth examiners out there agree with that?
The line is, "Who will rid me of this meddlesome priest?"
yeah, or maybe batman.
This is from Mark Levin Fan's site, he is a grreat source.
He has the sound bits also along with the back programs
She posts links to the most articles of anyone that I have seen on FR...and they are all really good.
However, if she didn't, then MarkLevinFan should have a recording of Mark's show to get the information off of.
Im turning in....see ya manana..if you see/find anything on the Levin reference..please ping me..
g'night
But if you pass a lie detector pass, you have less a chance of being prosecuted, unless they have other much more damning evidence.
Which is why we will see the DNC offering classes for their members on "How to properly take a lie detector test...And Pass!"
For the swimmer there will be a Cliff Notes version.
Yeah...I gotta go to bed also...I will let you know, what, if anything I find this weekend.
didn't I hear that Leahy was, in the 90's, on the security council, but was kicked off for leaking classified info?
(should've gone to jail, IMO, - but the libs are never held accountable. And the pubs are crucified and destroyed over false accusations.
bttt
ping -> breaking
Close; "CODEWORD", but keep it unde your hat.
I think that he may have "screwed the pooch" this time.
Agreed. W always wants to be nice.
I hope it does cause a firestorm .. it's time for the dems and their "get Bush" tactics to be accounted for.
This is treason in my book - and any senator who commits such an act SHOULD NO LONGER BE ALLOWED IN THE SENATE OR ANYWHERE IN THE GOVERNMENT.
I hope to hell this admin is not A FRAIDY CAT about this just because of what the WP or the NYT may say. And .. for that matter - both of those outlets are next in line to be indicted!!
While the dems are whining about a "culture of corruption" - they forgot to look behind their own doors.
I don't agree .. Rockerfeller did admit it was he that wrote the intel memo which Miranda found on the computer and exposed. So .. if Rocky wrote that memo .. he is more than capable of leaking the classified info.
I thought it was odd that he brought it up too. I'm trying to remember various exchanges from that hearing given this news and what I keep coming back to is Rockefeller's last statement, which followed Roberts odd comment. I don't listen to him enough but he sounded very emotional in talking about his belief in the law. Negroponte followed that with a last sentence saying that all of the panel members take an oath and they take it seriously.
If it's common knowledge among them that Rockefeller is the guy, that makes that last exchange pretty dramatic. Didn't Rockefeller also ask if the program was covert?
Yeah! Memogate! He wrote the senate intel memo that Miranda discovered on their computers.
Riiiiiiiight. Thank you!
As I understand, having a security clearance means that you have to submit to a polygraph at any time. If he refuses to take the polygraph, no big deal, it just means that he can't be ranking member on the committee. Look for him to step down from that role in the committee.
I agree with you .. and Jay needs to be make an example of what happens when you leak NSA secrets to the media or anyone else.
I hope they go after him. He is NOT ABOVE THE LAW. He knew exactly what he was doing and he did it because he HATES BUSH - which is the most juvenile and stupid reason to do anything.
I wonder who told Babbin it was Rockerfeller ..??
Well, surprise, surprise. (A fairly large contingent of us on FR knew it too.)
Being a Rockefeller means never having to say you're sorry.
Burger didn't, the Clintons haven't.
I am quickly coming to the conclusion that these two things are really one thing. They are both enemies of the free world, and the American culture.
It must be so "interesting" to be an international man like JR, and to hold no allegiance to the country that gave one's family such a position. He must consider himself an untouchable.
Your tagline:
(I don't have anything nice to say...)
reminds me of a favorite quote from Alice Roosevelt, TR's daughter. She was a great gossip, and was fond of saying this at dinner parties and social gatherings in Washington all through her long life: "If you have nothing good to say about anyone -- come sit beside me."
Truer words were never spoken.
That's why his nickname is Leaky Leahy.
Rockefeller was on FOX NEWS Sunday (I think before Christmas) and happened to mention that he had travelled to Syria before we invaded Iraq to warn the Syrians that we were going to attack. This received some comment on FR but not the national uproar it should have.
That's when many began believing that, as a member of and at the time of the Iraq invasion I believe chairman of the Intelligence committee, he was the source of these leaks.
They are both enemies of the free world, the American Culture, and the Christian Religions.
Here is a link concerning my previous comment - #143. I think Rockefeller is the most dangerous man in America.

Here is a better link to the FR thread re the same.

Is there even the remotest chance he will be held accountable in the slightest way for any of this?
Leahy was forced to resign for leaking intelligency info to the press, looks like we have another guilty dem on the line.
If not actual jail time - at least kicked off the intelligence committee and THOROUGHLY disgraced.
We have to keep this going, not just for justice but because it's too dangerous to have him in that position.
