Lauer: Why No Muslim Riots over Beheadings, 9/11? Richardson: Diplomacy Only Option

Score one for Today's Matt Lauer. Interviewing New Mexico governor and former UN ambassador Bill Richardson on the subject of the Muslim rioting in response to the Mohammed cartoons, Matt asked a question that was as unexpected as it was perspicacious. Meanwhile, Richardson offered the instinctive Democratic national security response: bring on the UN!

Richardson described the very grim situation in the Muslim world: "I've never seen the situation so dire with with the threats from Iran, the victory of Hamas, the escape of Badawi in Yemen. This is a very dangerous situation. It seems that the Muslim world is exploding."

Being the good Democrat he is, Richardson laid the blame . . . at the feet of George Bush: "Our obsession with Iraq has caused us to neglect these huge other trouble spots."

That's when Lauer unloaded a question on many minds but one you'd hardly expect to hear on the lips of an MSM host:

"Clearly it does show a huge rift between the west and the Muslim world, but if you listen over the weekend, governor, you hear a lot of people saying 'why aren't these people taking to the streets when hostages are beheaded on videotape in the name of Allah or when planes are flown into buildings in the name of Allah? How would you explain that?"

Richardson fleetingly acknowledged that "it is a bit of a double-standard." Yeah, maybe just a bit, Gov. But he quickly moved off any such criticism and onto to his call for the real solution: "I would call a summit," cautioning the President, "don't talk about the Axis of Evil."

Lauer compared our treatment of Iraq and Iran, while offering a damning indictment of the latter:

"It is striking four years ago we were talking about Iraq, saying they may have been trying to seek nuclear weapons, we thought they were sponsoring terrorism, so we went to war. Here we've got a country that's saying right to our face they are going forward with a nuclear program, we've proven that they've sponsored terrorism, and they have a president who says he wants to wipe one of our key allies off the map. And we're treating them differently, aren't we?"

Richardson gave the ultimate Dem response: "Diplomacy really is our only option."

Right on, Bill! If Kofi Annan and Vladimir Putin can't get it done, I guess we'll just have to let Iran develop nuclear weapons and the means to deliver them.

We are directly in the middle of these "trouble spots" what's he thinking? Oh, he's not.

"I would call a summit," cautioning the President, "don't talk about the Axis of Evil."

Ignore it and it will go away. Just what Muslims have been telling us to do for 500 years. Once we put a stop to it we will once again be the aggressors because we refused to speak out about why we are fighting so that we don't accuse a whole religious cult even though it's truth.

Who? Bill Richardson?

Wasn't he drafted as a pitcher in 1966 by the Kansas City Athletics? ;)

I think we should stop talking about the "Axis of Evil" and instead focus on the "Axis of Denial", which formerly contained much of the EU, but now largely contains the US State Dept and Democrats. We must stand up squarely to the beheaders and bombers and say "NO. We will not accept this savage behavior. We will convert you to smithereens if you continue on this path." Religious sensitivities be damned.

"Wasn't Richardson drafted as a pitcher by the 1966 KC Athletics?"

For those who don't get the reference, Richardson was recently caught in a little 'resume-enhancement':

According to the front page article in this morning's Washington Times...the burning of the Danish consulate in Beirut can be laid squarely at the feet of Syria, who ruled Lebanon by force until last April.

Many of those 174 arrested spoke with Syrian and Palestinian accents.

These cartoons appeared last Fall...so it has been established that at least 5 Euro-imans are responsible for whipping up the great unwashed when they recently went to the Middle East.

It has become increasingly clear that the typical muslim rioter is a brainwashed cultist...no different than Branch Davidians or purple shrouded, Nike-wearing comet riders.

Not just like them... Those Waco crazies and them "Heaven's Gate" looneys never proved to be any threat to anybody besides perhaps themselves. Muslims on the other hand are dangerous to everybody including other flavors of muslims.

Muslims are more like that Japanese death cult that released Sarin gas in the Tokyo subways. Except there are lots, lots more Muslims.

Lauer is a day late. Here's what Brit Hume said yesterday:

"This is really a disgrace," Hume told the panel on "Fox News Sunday." "And it is a disgrace because of the obvious, howling double standard involved here."

"What is striking about this is what offends these Muslims who are protesting and these imams," Hume complained. "Does the slaughter of innocent people in many parts of the world in the name of Allah offend them? Is that a sacrilege worthy of protest?

"No, not in the least," he said.

Richardson is an ignoranamus. We have troops in Yemen, in Kuwait, in Qatar, in Djibouti, in short throughout the Middle East, but our concentration on Iraq is causing us to miss these other problems? Bah! Maybe he agrees with Murtha in that we should execute a strategic withdrawl to say, Okinawa, where we can remain poised to intervene when necesary.

He is constantly mentally constipated. His mind is so full of it and there's no outlet that can absorb it fast enough. Much like his dream of being 'drafted' as a MBL pitcher. He's more like a 'catcher'.....'backing up' constantly to any media type will throw him a 'ball' so he can 'throw back' his delusional dribble.

They are kept ignorant and controlled by the imams. How many of those rioters have even seen or read the cartoons? Same situation as when Rushdie published The Satanic Verses and riots ensued throughout Islam. Hell, half of them can't even read. The basic problem is Islam itself. Either it must be reformed or......As Churchill said

What the horn is to the rhinoceros, what the sting is to the wasp, the Mohammedan faith is to the Arabs.

And other Islamic peoples I might add ......

Q: Why No Muslim Riots over Beheadings, 9/11?

A: Because beheading infidels and crashing planes into occupied buildings are consistent with the teachings of Islam, while cartoons depicting Mohammed are not. Simple.

(And, the beheadings will continue until the depictions of Muslims as violent cease.)

"Hell, half of them can't even read."

Probably more. That's why people giving examples of the more violent verses from the Koran as though every muslim has read it and agrees with it, are absurd. The average muslim who may have a few years of schooling (if he's lucky) believes what they have been taught. If they have been taught that the Koran is full of love and peace, that's what they believe.

What I mean is that cult members are typically people who are lacking the necessary tools to compete or think for themselves...loners who want to feel a part of something bigger.

As far as being prone to violence? I believe any human is capable of inflicting horror on his fellow man depending on his environment, finances, education etc.

Right now, they de-humanize perceived enemies...makes it easier to pick up that sword against "infidels".

The manner in which the Western MSM and governments bend over in their effort to accomodate mutil-culturalism give these muslims the sense that they are special and more powerful than they really are.
