"Thousands Remember Coretta Scott King" ---------- I was watching Fox News and they showed Jimmy Carter speaking at Coretta Scott King's funeral, and sure enough, he started talking about illegal wire-tapping and other examples of government run amok. I am appalled that he would use this opportunity to bash the President, but not really surprised. :-(

Good question. I think it has to do with media attention. I thought the JFK, Jr. saga would never end. Hours and hours of video on nothing but a coastline of where the plane may have gone down. I was starting to lose it on the unearned idolatry. I did hear Fox justify the news on the ratings in JFK Jr.'s case, but it is beyond my comprehension.

I agree. It was repulsive. Seems to me a funeral ought to be about the departed not about the people who cannot, for one moment, have respect for another person. It is "all about them", every moment, every occasion. Poor Coretta King, she lived her life in the middle of all that, and at her funeral, her last time to be honored,,these jerks turned it into an opportunity to diss the President.
