Scrappleface is a website that makes fun of just about everything, in this case a scientific report that was released yesterday saying that low fat diets do not work for women. You may certainly make comments but the article was not serious, although scrappleface is famous for writing articles that certainly appear that way at first read, just enough truth to make them seem like the real thing.
I thought everyone knew about scrappleface, apparently not.
I'm generally practicing two different diets at any givin time as one diet doesn't provide me with enough food. ;^)
Prelies: Another word for a Politcian clearing his throat. ;^)
I have no idea how that word got in: I meant to say "your replies." Thank you.
The human body depends on the following :
1. Vitamins and minerals for proper bodily functions
2. Fiber for a healthy GI tract (especially the colon...I have heard that the "mucoidal plaque" that the colon cleanse marketers are hyping is actually nothing but gelatinated psyllium, as most of those colon cleanse products have psyllium as a key ingredient)
3. Water
4. Protein for the muscles
The low-carb diets may help people lose weight, but I have observed numerous flaws in these diets :
1. The diets are usually high in fats, especially triglycerides.
2. Fresh fruits are considered a no-no in the diet. Any diet which does not allow you to eat vitamin-rich and mineral-rich foods such as fruits is a diet to stay away from. Sure you could take a vitamin supplement and a fiber supplement, but that is just lazy.
