WASHINGTON, DC, Feb. 3, 2006Last week's FReep was the third in our newly captured territoryall four corners of Walter Reed Army hospital's main gatethe DC Chapter having outsmarted Code Pink in mid-January, when after 40 weeks of counterprostests, the DC Chapters of FreeRepublic and Protest Warrior finally drove the Pinko womyn and associated quislings away from the gates. Our side, supporters of the troops and the mission outnumbered by three-to-one the pitiful remnants of Code Pink's newly-relocated "vigil" 'way down the blockthey are out of our brave heroes' faces now!
What's even better is that many more wounded troops and their wives, parents or supportive friends now come out of the hospital, whether on foot, on crutches or in wheelchairs, to stand with us against domestic enemies. Passing cars and trucks now serenade us all evening long, beeping in support and high-fiving out the windows. No wonder the libmedia stays awaythe joy and fervor of the support we receive gives them the big, fat lie.
Especially touching is the sight of newly wounded servicemen or women arriving by ambulance or helicopter. Some have reported that they could see us out the window as they arrived, and it gave the wounded comfort knowing they would not to have to pass by the anti-war ghouls' messages alone.
We've won the battle for strategic territory at Walter Reed; but the war's not over. We need to keep FReeper numbers strong, to defend the gates of Walter Reed from re-encroachment by anti-war socialists.
Our usual correspondent, BillF, is having a computer melt-down this week. BillF will post a complete report with photos and the attendance list of last week's FReep in coming days, but for now, he has asked me to remind all FReepers and lurkers within driving distance of northern Washington, DC, to...
I missed seeing you last week, Coop!
I've enjoyed listening to you and BufordP chastise those pinkos in the past. (I didn't miss seeing the pinkos though)

Thanks Star,
Good timing. I was just getting ready to head out the door.
Ping me when it's posted please!
Thanks, StarCMC! We kicked some commie butt again tonight. It is soooooo nice to have them down the street and out of the line of sight of the troops and their families. So many soldiers came out tonight to talk with us, in civvies and in uniform. One car out of five beeped or waved out the window, including drivers of DC buses and long-distance truckers going by. What a pleasure not to see the loooooonnng faces of the dour hate-festers across the street any more! Lots of love went around all four corners!
It was good to meet you at the FReep tonight, gate2wire. FReep on!
Your usual wonderful musical accompaniments -- thanks for posting those. I particularly love Dolly Parton. That was a wonderful rendition of "When Johnny Comes Marching Home" by her.
Reminds me of my favorite Dollly Parton quotation: "When somebody calls me a dumb blonde, I don't pay them no mind, 'cause I know I'm not dumb. And I know I'm not blonde."
I LOVE IT!! :o)
She's a classic!! Her God and Country Album is not to be missed!
CPAC they'd rather talk than fight. They remind me of the UN. All mouth and no action.
Good to meet you too, AW.
