What was Lesch thinking?(insignificant stumblebum MN state legislator goes to Iraq...)

What was Lesch thinking? In the slapstick comedy "Pee-wee's Big Adventure," Pee-wee Herman's bike is stolen. He goes to a fortune teller to help him find it and is told that it's in the basement of the Alamo. But when he gets to San Antonio he learns there is no basement in the famous fort. The look on his face is priceless. We imagine state Rep. John Lesch, DFL-St. Paul, had a similar look on his face when he got to Iraq and realized that just wandering around a war zone, unescorted, wasn't such a good idea. Indeed, the naiveté behind this little jaunt is amazing. What was this guy thinking? First, he just showed up. Anyone who's ever traveled abroad knows that you often need more than just a passport to get into some countries, especially in the Middle East. Then there was the problem of money. Lesch apparently didn't bring any. What did he think he was going to do, travel through Iraq on his debit card?

Unfortunately, even stupid terrorist can recognize someone more stupid and do not waste time nor ammo on them. Pity, someone this stupid needs to be put out of his misery.

But I said he only looked like a typical Minneapolitian. Minneapolis is a state of mind and confusion, not a city.
