Dubya is the President of the United States, not a punching bag for every loony Dem.
I wonder if the White House realizes that...

The President addressed this in one of his recent Q&A's: "Name calling is beneath the dignity of the office of the president."
Whether we like it or not, that's what he believes.

Probably a real struggle for that title at the funeral. Not surprised the goober won.

It's called "Rising above the occasion", and president Bush did. President Bush is brimming with grace and class, while president Carter is a repugnant old Commie-lovin' loser.

I wonder if the White House realizes that... Of course it does.
Thats why the plaintive wailing of the insufferably rude liberal trash are beneath this White House.

Carter... now THERE was a great time in American history. Gas lines, double digit inflation, double digit interest rate on loans. Wear your sweaters and turn down your thermo's.
Lets rescue the hostages...oh wait Delta Force was gonna do it but the non leader in Carter said he didn't want to hurt the feelings of the other forces so he included them all.
What a Cluster F***
I notice he did fail to mention the illegal wire taps on MLK was done by Bobby Kennedy (Dem) not Rep.
Oh yeah the bad things that dems do get mentioned as if done by Reps and then they just deny that dems were involved.
Such as Bobby kennedy saying the Lobby scandal was Rep problem and even though he got about 40,000 he didn't have to give it back because it was not a dem scandal.
Hypocrits.

I have to admit I enjoy the fact they quoted all the things said about Carter's behavior...again, for everyone to hear.

A typical dopey Scott McClellan performance. Either the higher-ups are requiring him to be dopey, or he actually is. I never know which. Probably it's both.
The White House should discover the value of juicy lines and of fighting back through their press secretary. Then, they should find someone who is smart enough to trust as a spokesman who actually speaks.
To: Brilliant
exposing himself for the fool he has always been.
An alternative ending to your pithy comment.

I have nothing but respect for Mr. Bush and his wife Laura. They have shown that they are truly as close as we will ever get to a Royal Couple in America. I am very proud to have them as the First Family of this country. The utter class of the Bush family, Poppa, Barbara, George W, laura, and Jeb overwhelms any pretentious, headline grabbing, display by the Kennedys, the (Heinz)Kerrys and other vicious democrats who are now the political dinosaurs of our age.

"The New York Post also noted, 'Carter couldn't quite bring himself to note that the wiretappings of Dr. King was conducted under Presidents John Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson, and was originally ordered by Attorney General Robert Kennedy, all Democrats.' And my question: Can the president deny that Jimmy Carter was, in this statement, revenging himself on Teddy Kennedy for running against Carter's re-election [in 1980]?" HA-HA-HA! Lester Kinsolving is a piece of work! You go, buddy!

president Carter is a repugnant old Commie-lovin' loser. He has his purposes though.
I use him as an object lesson and example when lecturing my nephews on the ravages of the Solitary Vice.
