Prayer Request for very sick little Fla. girl with massive infection

The doctors discovered that Candace has "gram positive cocci infection" originating on the bone and spread throughout the soft tissue in her body. although the Surgery went well, her right thigh has increased with Infection. Candace has had a feeding tube inserted today to nourish her very weak body. Today they will be undergoing an emergency procedure called "hyperbaric-oxygen-therapy" she will be put in a oxygen chamber in Shands hospital donated by Nasa in order to kill the anaerobic Infection. Please pray for the success of this

On hyperbaric oxygenation therapy, I'd like to mention that our cousin who had diabetes feet and was scheduled to have the right foot amputated below the knee and the toe of the left foot amputated - just finished about 30 days of the therapy. No amputations are now needed.

Hyperbaric oxygen chambers are fantastic devices. They work extremely well against tough infections. We'll pray for the best. She's young too so that's a plus, too.

Poor, poor little girl. I pray that she makes it. Does anyone know how this happened? I read the site but didn't quite know how it all started. Did she go in because of the infection or did the infection start in the hospital? Anyway, I know she's in bad shape and I hope and pray the infection will go away. If she makes it, it sounds like she is going to have a lot of healing to do. The surgeries sound awful.
