the presence of VP Cheney's medical staff meant that Mr Whittington got help immediately. He is 78 years old - must have been a bit of a shock.
Having said that.....HANDS OFF MR CHENEY... it was an accident!
**snort**
Yes, I pointed out to a left-leaning colleague, who was teasing me this morning about Mr. Cheney's little mishap, that if you're going to get shot in a hunting accident, you can't do much better than be in Mr. Cheney's company. Given the combination of being VP and having a history of heart attacks, I expect that Mr. Cheney is followed around by an absolutely top-notch medical team.
It did not apply to the founding fathers. There was an amendment to the effect that you had to have lived in the U.S. for x-years to become president if you were born before 1776.
Actually its even simpler. You needed to be a citizen at the time the consitution was adopted, if you were not a citizen by birth.

agreed. it's a funny situation. although the Whittington guy is in intensive care. that makes it less funny, at least for him.
Johnson shot Tecumseh in the War of 1812, BEFORE he became Vice-President.
You beat me to it!
Wow...Great picture!
Is that their mating ritual?
This adds new meaning to Texas wildlife......
LOL!
Thanks for the particulars.
**Johnson shot Tecumseh in the War of 1812, BEFORE he became Vice-President.***
And Adali Stevenson shot his own sister.
And wild Bill Hickock shot his own deputy.
And Sen Kennedy drowned Mary Jo.
