White House spokesman Scott McClellan, peppered with reporters questions about Vice President Dick Cheneys accidental weekend shooting of a hunting buddy, said President George Bush was not immediately informed of the incident because he was too distracted by the Iraq war.
If, because of the war, the president doesnt have time to catch Usama bin Laden, Mr. McClellan said, when do you think hell find a moment to deal with a quail hunting accident in Texas?
In related news, Mr. McClellan said the Bush administration is sticking with its initial single-shooter theory.
From all indications, he said, the vice president acted alone. Lab reports show that all of the pellets came from a single 28-gauge shotgun which had the Vice Presidents fingerprints all over it.
Despite these assurances, the White House press corps buzzed with conspiracy rumors, including suggestions that the quail, which Mr. Cheney allegedly shot at, had not flown in a completely random, natural pattern, but seemed to intentionally pass in front of 78-year-old attorney Harry Whittington.
Reportes eat bird sead, they are nitwits.
Now there's a thought.
Well sead and well speled..
your right bird seed, aw forget it.
The VP should invite Helen Thomas along on his next outing.
Yeah, but quail that have been turned to stone ain't very good eatin'.
It is really pathetic that some of the idiots in the media demand the VP resign, just because the accident wasn't reported to the medi for 24 hours.
LOL. Scrappleface is so darn funny.
Seriously now, the MSM is playing up this Cheney-Buckshot news (can be more-easily played against the Admin) to try and get the Cartoon-madness off the front pages (which does not hurt the Admin).
They act like out of control children at every WH press briefing.
yup , the presscorp acted like prescoolers,...
... that had been promised ice cream [or so they profess!!]
,...btw, I wonder who uttered "buckshot" first
... it appears the press revels in repeating misstatements , when it suits their agenda
,..[Gawd! I wish our Prez would use his bullypulpit to "inform" folks about juggalo-journalists]
The press core is so obsessed at the amount of time it took this story to be released to the public. How long did it take the Clinton administration to get the word out about Vince Foster's murder, I mean suicide?
So you think a load of bird shot to the face would improve her looks? I guess it might at that, but I shudder to think what it would do to her disposition.
