WASHINGTON — An active-duty military intelligence analyst has told congressional investigators that 9/11 pilot Mohamed Atta surfaced 13 times in a controversial Pentagon computer program before he executed the attacks, The Post has learned.

Congressional sources said last night that an officer in the Pentagon's secretive Land Information Warfare Center told the staff of Rep. Curt Weldon (R-Pa.) about the computer hits.

How many times did he 'surface' during the Clinton administration and why wasn't the press corp informed each and every day he surfaced?

From the article:
The revelation is significant because the 9/11 commission has asserted that Atta was not on the intelligence community's radar screen before the attacks.
Let's hear it for the 9/11 commission.

So, Clinton let Bin Laden go AND Clinton let Atta go.

The first few months of Bush's presidency he is tied up with that aircraft problem with China, a recession, dealing with Gore and fixing all the keys on the White House computers because Clintons peons made the transition difficult.

Then 9/11 hits. Yup, Bush's fault.

Let's hear it for the 9/11 commission.

They did their job. They covered up for Clinton and blamed Bush.

Yeah, there were several other threads last night, thanks so much MNJ.
No matter how much is uncovered by hearings, what ever, it will still be our job here in the New Media to keep the Able Danger story alive, IMHO.
I don't think the old/antique media wants anything to do with this story.

It reminds me of Chief Moose. It turned out that the Washington Snipers had turned up ten times on his computers, passing through roadblocks after shooting people.

But since they weren't white, and weren't driving a white van, he thought nothing about it. This only turned up after they were arrested, and needless to say the press never made much of it.

Bill Clinton, George Tenet, and Janet Reno were much like Chief Moose. Except they had a lot more help. Moose screwed up more or less singlehandedly. The rogue element in our intelligence agencies and senate is widespread and tenacious, and they seem to be screwing up on purpose, not through sheer stupidity.

And no - it doesn't specify when this happened. Only that it contradicts what the 9/11 commission claimed.

excerpt: " The revelation is significant because the 9/11 commission has asserted that Atta was not on the intelligence community's radar screen before the attacks."

The last chapter or two alone are worth the read. Let's just say he's not a fan of Bill Clinton.

It reminds me of Chief Moose.

It was worse than that. He knew these guys were the suspects, they were watching the ex-wife's house, but wouldn't let it go public. The only reason these terrorist got caught is some cops got fed up, went against Moose's orders and released the license plate number to the press. The whole thing was sickening.

The New York Post is constantly scooping the NYT nowadays on all the terrorism-related info.

What keeps the NYT afloat?

What is it going to take for all the advertising revenues to finally pick up and go to the competition?

Yah but the typical alqaeda cell is from six to twelve people. And six plus thirteen is nineteen.

See it all fits ;)
