His injury was Kerryesque.
"Put some ice on it." Heheh.
Oh no. Here comes another scandal. He was not going to be held overnight before he was being held overnight. This will affect minorities across the nation and your grandmothers social security check will be taken from her.
Maybe you should put some ice on that.....
Our press has become utterly degenerate.
Hospitals are like car dealers. Once you drive into that bay they have to do enough work to cover their overhead.
Didn't I hear he just got released from ICU? Leave it to the press to completely make stuff up.
I don't believe ONE word coming out of their mouths. Not one.
Are you listening the press grill Scott right now?
"While news reports from The New York Times to the Austin American-Statesman have been describing the injuries to Harry Whittington, the victim of Vice President Dick Cheney's accidental shooting, as more serious than first believed...
...the first doctor to treat Whittington immediately after the Saturday shooting contended that his wounds were superficial and not in need of further hospitalization. "
What? The Lib media making things sound worse than they were? I can't believe it!!!! /s
And the Lib media wonders why they are not the first informed.
I can hardly await the victim's first presser!
I'm here, thanks to Mo!
WH presser is on Cspan1
The press will claim there is makeup (applied by Rove) covering the hideous wounds.
I'm so sick of this story already, I could scream.
Just wait until they drop the real bomb:
Cheney didn't shoot him with a shotgun. He just glared at him for walking into his line of fire. The effects of that brief glare were enough to require hospitalization.
During the Thanksgiving episode of "Grey's Anatomy" one of the interns goes turkey hunting with his father and brothers (he doesn't want to). They get in the typical family argument and the trip ends after the father is accidently shot in the buttocks. The next scene has the dr. son picking the birdshot out of his father's butt as father and son settle feelings from the son's childhood. The father pulls his pants up and goes home. No intensive care.
Much ado about nothing.
I swear. We could literally bomb North Korea AND Iran and the press wouldn't even notice until Friday.
"I don't believe ONE word coming out of their mouths. Not one. "
I don't either. That is the key to this whole story, it's nothing but a bunch of overhyped hogwash, like Katrina "victims" and a whole lot of other topics. The media has gone berserk with their Bush hatred and their loss of clout with the public.
Scott: You all have to make decisions on what you want to report. And if this is what you want to report, that's fine. But this adminsitration is focusing on other efforts.
I see from watching Fox....that Karl Rove is now involved in "Birdshotgate"....the moonbats are beside themselves.
Not even close.
Hospitals have to do enough tests to protect themselves, and counter the millions upon millions of dollars they lose every year to frivolous lawsuits.
Do some serious medical tort reform like the President has been pushing, and hospitals will no longer have to do this, and health care costs will plummet..
I can't handle watching the press briefing today...let me know if Gregory or any other reporter apologizes for over-reacting and being out of control.
As I see it, the only reason he ended up in intensive care was because of his age.
Gregory. If ever there was a girly man.
Is the blond who asked "Is this a done deal?" the same one who asked if Whittington had been killed would it have been a bigger story?
They are losing what minds they have left
Do the bozos in the MSM ever think about ANYthing??
(Rhetorical question.......don't answer :)
I missed that. My dad just called.
Why choose just one? The MSM has two sides of their mouths they can speak from. And that doesn't even count when they are just talking out of their backsides.
Hearing about them after the fact is hard enough to take.
I just tuned in. Has Gregory even spoken at the press conference today?
No .. they are too full of hate and anger they can't think of anything but to take down Bush and Cheney
I thought he was in intensive care.
So far they aren't as bad as they were yesterday
Maybe they realized they had a lawyer in the emergency room and decided to retrieve a little money from the bar association by sticking him in ICU.
I think I mentioned this to you last week, but will repeat it here.
Ari Fleicher's book "Taking Heat" was excellent. He details with specific transcripts and newspaper headlines just how often the press lies. Deliberately.
Reporters would call him for a quote. He'd give it to them. They'd call back later in the day for other info and he'd ask them for the quote. They'd read it back word for word to him. Then in the paper, it would be incorrect. In a way that made the administration look bad. Naturally.
It was just for observation .. he was never in serious condition
If I were shot by the VP, I'd be reluctant to have the news spread all over. I'd hope to have a few hours (days, if possible) of peace and quiet in order to recover before the media hordes descended on me to make me more miserable than my wounds.
I give Scott an "A" for that remark.
Forty or fifty illegal aliens will not get treatment due to the resources the lawyer comandeered..
Six or Seven hundred more could not get treatment because the hospital security precluded it...
Obvioulsy a scandal of 'Tinyantic' proportions..
Scott isn't letting them push him around anymore. It's about time.
Thanks, I tuned in a few minutes ago. Enough to see the last Cheney quesions with Scott basically telling her to get lost and then he signed off with the Longhorns hand sign.
Someone in the hospital administration found out that he is wealthy or has great insurance (maybe both) so he'll stay in the hospital until he leaves on his own.
Scott just told Gregory it wasn't about HIM....haha.
They have indeed gone berserk. On CNN today, Steve Roberts reported that "Dick Cheney shot (someone) while HUNTING ILLEGALLY". Yup! He said that with a straight face. The real story is that a $7 special stamp for upland birds was missing from the hunting license, due to an oversight. Othewise, Cheney's license was completely in order.
Another dingbat on Corrupt Cable News said, "We do not know yet whether CRIMINAL CHARGES will be brought against the Vice President."
They are in a feeding frenzy, like the sharks off the Australian coast.
Maybe the media whores can turn this into Cheney arranging to have the guy detained, kinda like Guantanemo - or maybe the doc wanted to let him go so Cheney could "finish the job".
