Whittington Back in ICU (FNC Reporting Minor Heart Attack)
WJIM-AM | February 14, 2006 | be-baw

Posted on 02/14/2006 10:09:50 AM PST by be-baw

I just heard from a local radio reporter (during Rush newsbreak at approximately 1:00 p.m) that Whittington "may have taken a turn for the worse," and was put back into intensive care.

Good morning.
"Would it be steel or lead shot?"

Isn't lead shot illegal for some idiotic reason to do with the environmental.

I just called her office and spoke with her assistant and told her that she needed to tell Dr. London that people are onto her .. that's she's not a cardiologist, though she called Fox News to comment on a cardiac matter, and that people now know she's an anti-Bush Democrat. Got that all in before the clunk .. I obviously dialed *67 first.

I don't know about Texas, but in my state of PA. it is very rare for someone to be prosecuted over a hunting accident.

Unless of course there is evidence that it was not an accident.

I'd like to know what's up with Fox. They're covering the Cheney story like CNN or PMSNBC.

Must be lonely at the top, they're having a race to the bottom.

No steel loads available commercially for the .28 gauge shell.

"If he dies, Cheney will resign."

I'm glad somebody else said it. A lot of people here apparently think Cheney is indestructable. The only good thing about this tragedy is that Bush wasn't there.

In Texas people are prosecuted often for involuntary manslaughter for automobile accidents. THIS WAS AN ACCIDENT. But the media will hound Cheney relentlessly as well as the county and state prosecutors. Perhaps a lawyer on this thread might weigh in on this possibility.

I think you are jumping the "gun" a bit. Except for Dr. London, all reports are that the man is just fine.

However, that said, I always thought that Cheney would resign by 2007 due to health reasons. That way President Bush gets to put a person in place for the 2008 nomination.

Putting him in ICU could have been precautionary, due to his age, the possibility of infection, and also to keep busybodies away. If he's in ICU, only family members are allowed in. It may be that ICU was requested so that the press wouldn't have access to the area or the people who work there. There could be a number of reasons.

I am not sure VP Cheney wants to stay in office until January 2009 anyways. Why would he want to put up with this crap to begin with anyways?

If Whittington does die, Cheney will feel like crap without having the media around beating him up for 3 years. Wouldn't hold it against him if he did retire.
