I just heard from a local radio reporter (during Rush newsbreak at approximately 1:00 p.m) that Whittington "may have taken a turn for the worse," and was put back into intensive care.
Oh, the Vice President must be feeling just terrible. My worst fear has always been hurting someone in an accident. Prayers for Mr. Whittington.
I think age has a lot to do with it. And I would think that risk of infection would always be a concern, regardless of age. But now that this birdshot has moved, it is getting worse. My prayers are with both families.

True enough, but in a 78 year old man, nothing can be taken for granted. If he's in the hospital for a week, there are all sorts of complications that can come up.

Called a silent heart attack. Wouldn't have been picked up if the doctors hadn't been probing the area.
How did it move to the heart if it didn't get inside the heart chamber? It sounds as if it slightly penetrated the heart wall, but that contradicts the statement that it moved.
Doctor now explaining to the Press that this was NOT a typical heart attack that most people thing of

Actually, I think BoT made a good point. Why does asking a question, good or not, or making a point, equate to hating America?

BTW..my husband told me this morning that the guys that he works with that are dems...were "celebrating" last night..thinking this would get Cheney out of the VP office...
I for one, am worried about Cheney...I am sure he feels awful...and NOW with this...the news said that one of the pellets moved into his heart causing the attack...
If so...I am sure NO ONE could be harder on Cheney than he is on himself...
I am concerned that even the docs are using the term "BB"...BB shots are MUCH larger than birdshot.
