VICE PRESIDENT Dick Cheney knew where to go when he finally decided to tell his story about the accidental shooting of a hunting buddy. Cheney went to Fox News, where he was guided gently through the events by interviewer Brit Hume.
Cheney has not submitted himself to open-ended news conference questioning in more than three years -- and it's clear that he did not regard the aftermath of a Texas shooting as cause for him to face a White House press corps that is openly agitated about his efforts to control the story.

I don't recall them ever objecting when Clinton did interviews with CNN/ABC/NPR/PBS/NBC/CBS...

A tacit admission that the rest of the media had no intention of granting Cheney a fair interview.
I hope they wallow in it.

Even more hilarious than the story being broken by lil' ol' Corpus Christi and not the NYSlimes and the Clintoon Network, Cheney gave an exclusive to FNC, lol!

Sounds like the editor of the Chronicle would have liked Cheney to give the interview to David Gregory in the interest of "journalism." Dream on.

What are the questions these "He went to FOX!!" types want asked that were not asked?
When was the last hard-hitting interview of a democrat figure that appeared on MSNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN?
To: SmithL
"Near the end of the interview, Hume asked Cheney about court filings in which the VP's former chief of staff Scooter Libby suggested one of his superiors -- not identified -- authorized the release of classified information. "It's nothing I can talk about Brit," replied Cheney, explaining that he may be called as a witness in the case."
I'm guessing the SF Cryingcall wanted Brit to gently ask the VP if he thought Libby got the message.

Brit Hume, "I was approached by a newscrew from another network and asked why FNC was given the interview; was it because Fox News is a conservative network? I replied maybe it was because the Vice President wanted to appear on the network with the most viewers." It was a deathblow!

I never realized until now the reason for MSM's hatred of alternative news outlets. They hate that Republicans have decided they don't need to grovel to them.

Vice-President Cheney made the right move in going to Fox and Brit Hume. Mr. Hume is a gracious man, asked the right questions and conducted a superb interview. Why should VP Cheney have gone to any of the lunatic MSM who are completely out-of-control lefties?
