So much for the political implications of this. Not even a majority of DEMOCRATS think the hunting incident raises serious questions about Mr. Cheney's ability to serve as Veep.

A Marist poll aired on WNBC-TV in New York was pretty similar - I'm not sure if the sample was New York only or national.

The Democratic Party mainstream is a quarter of the electorate that are fit to be tied about it. For the rest of us, its no big deal.

97% of Republicans wish Cheney would do something about David Gregory's hissy fits when he has a bad hair day.

Well, look, in all honesty (and those of you who know me know I yield to no one in my appreciation of and affection for President Bush and Vice President Cheney) I do think it might be a good idea for the VP to curtail his shotgunning activities, at least where 78-year-old friends are involved. I know, it's not right, it's not fair, people get "peppered" all the time (believe it or not, I've been peppered, in a foolish incident that happened when I was in high school). But given the unbelievable level of enmity on the part of the political opposition, it might be an idea worth considering.

The longer this goes on the more embarrassing it is for the media types who by now are stuck in it. Their only practical exit is to make as much noise and confusion as they can while they're shuffling for the door.

The problem is that the public has not a great deal of toleration for self-dramatizing glamor queens once the mask's been torn. And worse, those who are busy spreading the rumor that Cheney or the rest of the party were drunk (1) without a single shred of evidence, and (2) in direct contradiction to the eyewitnesses, the police, and the Secret Service, are going to become targets for a counter-accusation of smear-mongering that is going to stick.

Oh my God, 'serious questions'!! Let's immediately place him under arrest and book him for 'felony serious questions'. After all, to judge from the MSM's behavior, an issue of 'serious questions' is like a capital crime, so it must be something really bad... like... serial mopery or something.

Liberals can go take a hike. Its all about them and the obscene thing is seeing twits like Modow hoping Harry Whittington dies so Cheney can go to jail.

I take this to mean that 27% are either reading the MSM or listening to Err Amerika because those are the folks with the tin foil conspiracy hats on 24/7!! They have a rabid hate of the GWB Admin and will never get over loosing two Pres elections in a row to GWB - They continuously rant "Impeach, Impeach, Impeach". Malloy on Err Amerika continuously tell his 5 people who listen that they are going to have to take to the streets with pitchforks and torches, because the party of corruption will never remove the evil Nazi Bush regime. Think they will do it? Err Amerika is promoting the strategy of throwing their support 100% behind any '06 candidate that promises they will IMPEACH the Bush regime. Impeach Bush and Cheney and Impeach and Demand Censure for Bush-Cheney Misconduct

I know. It's infuriating. But as Billthedrill said above, The longer this goes on the more embarrassing it is for the media types who by now are stuck in it. Their only practical exit is to make as much noise and confusion as they can while they're shuffling for the door. The LSM is so fornicated, and getting more so every day. But this is a distraction we don't need. Well, maybe not. Maybe this is a distraction that is actually helpful to our side. Remember that cartoon that came out during the last Presidential campaign that showed Pres. Bush (dressed in boxing regalia) distracting Kerry with his left while bringing his right into position for a knock-out?

Obviously I'm just thinking out loud here...

Once again a new Rasmussen Poll tracks the percentage of Americans I describe as afflicted with Bush Derangement Syndrome. I usually peg this at between 30-35% of the population. It's a moving target, however. This is the crowd we chronicle here. The Larry O'Donnell, Daily Kos, Ariana, Pelosi, DU, MoveOn.org, et al. Rasmussen had a poll a couple of weeks ago saying 32% of Americans want Bush impeached. Same crowd. The great news here is that this group runs the RAT establishment around by the nose. They then destroy any hope for national victories with mainstream America. Plus, as an added bonus, they are very entertaining.

Thirty-eight percent (38%) of Harry Reid's party say it is just one of those very embarrassing things that happens to all of us.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! The Dems are hanging their hat on "Fuddgate" to bring down the "evil Bush empire" and they still have 40% of their own team that think it's no big deal?

There will be calls for ideological purges among the DUmmy ranks when they see this poll.

I respect your sentiment,Steely,I swear I do.

But I also disagree.I think Vice President Cheney should go hunting more often.

With the silly press concentrating all their energy on Mr.Cheney's hunting skills, President Bush can do nightly interviews on FNC with Brit Hume and sail his message out virtually unfiltered while the rest of the media is lost in the woods trembling with fear that Shotgun Cheney might mistake them for game.
