MediaChannel.org used the powerful new MediaVision tool to monitor television news coverage of the Able Danger Congressional hearings. To our astonishment CNN's "Lou Dobbs Tonight" was the only news show to give Able Danger any significant coverage.
We were so shocked by the lack of coverage that we created an online campaign to try to pressure TV news networks to cover, as Lou Dobbs put it, "what could be the biggest scandal of our lifetime." Click here to send networks an email demanding coverage!
So, sadly, here it is. All the TV coverage we could find thus far:

Unbelievably, this group found that only 25 minutes of TV time has been given to Able Danger coverage. I knew there hadn't been much coverage, but this is shockingly little.

It isn't going away and once one network or major paper gets on the track they all will follow. It's all they know how to do.

C-Span yesterday had Brian with 2 reporters, one from Ft Wayne, IN, and Detroit. A caller asked when C-Span was going to cover Able-Danger, they all just generally agreed that the 9-11 Commision said there was nothing "credible' there, so they had no plans to look any further into it.

What wrong with you people?? Able danger will be a Clinton Scandal, have you ever seen the Clintons come under any REAL scrutiny? I mean other than a head job. The FBI files, The Rose law firm, the Barrett report, The blood scandal. They all bounced off like BB's off a tank. Do you really expect any different in Able Danger?
To: vadkins
The press is too busy "covering" the Cheney hunting accident.

and the patheticacy (is that a word, no it isn't a word) is they (our congress) won't / can't (not sure about this one) / no preparation / delusional / misgivings of little or no true credibility isn't going on a disclosure route hearings found the proverbial chart?

Been following your posts and links this week.
Thanks for the coverage.

I'm just finding a little inspiration in Curt Weldon's tenacity. The other points of Clinton activity really didn't have anyone with the courage to champion the effort.
I just have want to believe that at some point history and truth are going to win out.

I hears Weldon on Tony's Snow's show from yesterday.
If Tony gets ahold of this - and it appeared he was doing that - this will have legs.
After Tony got involved with the Barrett Report - it really got noticed and the dems' attempt to kill the publishing of the report was ended. Tony called repub congress people and they made sure the report was not killed.

I'm buzzing congress as much asI can. But, I'll admit to bono being right on much of what he said.
Tony Snow was all over the BARRET REPORT -ALL OVER IT!
He even got Chuck Grassley on his show and he told the nation that he would use his power to see the entire report and enter it into the public record ... Guess what happened NOTHING!

oh heck..... and really this planet, she's like bazaar'o world.
People don't pay attention, and this is terrible. If the world wasn't the world (bazaar'o) .... and truth and justice could win out, the clintons would be in jail along with probably 25 percent plus of congress, the executive branch, probably 80 percent of the lawyers (LoL, and crying on the inside), and let us not begin to think about the judges. The office of power is an office of corruption. and believe me.... I hope 25 percent corrupt is an inflated number...if the number is higher the nations future would be in greater jeopardy than present. btw, NOTHING HAPPENED is the standard answer, and the corruption continued. :-(

I'm surprised it has gotten that much coverage on television.

We all need to find more effective ways to push the Able Danger story- Here's a heart breaker, the mother of one of the our heroes killed on the USS Cole commented on one of my blog posts at
The Able Danger Blog: Thank you for doing such a good job covering this issue. The information, including links, make your site my first stop most mornings. I wish more Americans were more concerned with this issue. The BIG picture keeps growing as more and more information is learned. I pray we eventually will learn the truth. Thank you, again. Most excellent interview! Wish I had seen it, but I missed it. Thanks to your post I know what is going on.
Looks like some people in congress are interested. Hope it keeps gathering momentum.

REP. CURT WELDON (R), ARMED SERVICES COMMITTEE: Unbelievable. Slade Gorton has never talked to any principle involved with Able Danger. And how he can go off and profess to know something about something that he's never talked to anyone about, is beyond me. Slade Gorton is into what the 9/11 commission is doing, Lou. It's called c, y, a. Cover their butts, pretend it didn't happen.
Baynative; Thank you. You have to understand why Slade Gorton (or Skeletor as he use to be called up here) is always invited to these Blue Ribbon Commissions. He is a cover-up, it will go away, and then it never happened kind of guy.
Slade Gorton is a member of the the 9/11 commission. Slade Gorton was a member of the National Commission on Federal Election Reform from 2001 to 2002 (hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil.) Perhaps one of my most blood pressure raising Slade memories is of him on a talk show discussion the Waco killings and in particular the "jack booted thugs" comment. Slade took huge offense at the comment and ridiculed anyone who dared to question if perhaps the US government may have "crossed the line, even if every so slightly at Waco." Slade is a true "organization man" who makes sure things go smoothly.
