Not that either actor has ever quite hit the big time, I'd say this movie finishes them as far as I'm concerned.

I guess its tough making the rent sometimes when you're a second-tier actor, which drives some of them overseas to shoot movies no one will ever see, commercials in Japan, what-have-you. It worked for Clint Eastwood.

Don't think its going to help these two j-birds. I think the next time we hear about them it will be in court on a shop-lifting charge, or public disorder charges. Busey might wind up as a roadie for the Dixie Chicks.

Definition of Ignorance:

When people believe that very cheap movies with C-D grade actors are actual truth.

"Even the doctor - played by Gary Busey - is evil, removing human organs from Iraqi prisoners to send to patients in the US, Israel and Britain."

What the BBC neglects to mention is that the doctor is overtly Jewish. From FrontPage magazine:

'The whacked out former star of failed, dumb reality show "I'm with Busey" repeats the age-old anti-Semitic blood libel, that Jews steal others' organs, blood, etc. for some ill purpose--in this case by playing an evil Jewish doctor"

Meant to ping you to post 21. Busey is finished. Coke is an awful thing.

People understand that movies are just entertainment, and long after the Iraq war and "Valley of Wolves" are just dusty history, the US and Turkey will still be allies.

If you think so. I have some contacts to Turks living in Germany. Their impression is, that the feelings towards America among Turks are tumbling into the wrong direction. It suggest itself that the closest outcome of such a sentiment is the anewed rejection (they already rejected all support in Iraq) to support the US in the coming Iran crisis.

This will cost blood, tears and money.

Yeah, and the Danish cartoons were just cartoons. But who would of thought that the protests, violence and mayhem would have lasted so long?
Radical Islamists are uneducated half-wits with a very long memory. Look for them to play this up for a long time to come.

Turkey is an important ally, but Turkish jingoistic nationalism is a threat to regional stability.

With Turkey, it seems a matter of picking your poison: extreme nationalism or Islamic fundamentalism. I'm hoping there's a third way - maybe if those Europeans let them into the Union of European Socialist Republics (EU) they'll calm down a bit.

can we not kick Turkey out of NATO? I don't think so but we somehow should. Turkey is certainly no ally. So why the hell are they in NATO?

we need those bases. Ok, maybe we don't need them, but they are useful. Besides, there is hope for Turkey- better to try and turn them into a Western secular democracy than let them end up like Iran or Syria.

Gary Busey (as the evil Jewish doctor who steals organs from prisoners and sells them to wealthy Americans and Jews) and Billy Zane (don't know what his role is).

Where is the AP article taking them to task? Rush Limbaugh got an AP article this week for an error he corrected in the same broadcast. The article appeared days later.

Why isn't Bill Clinton asking for prosecution of the producers as he is for the cartoonists?

It is no solution to react emotionally. The question is how to solve the problem. America and Europe need Turkey. We should not forget that Turkey is still the only moderate stable democracy in the muslim world. They are still a close ally. The Turkish gouvernment and media must help to inform its people about the realities so that they are prepared to deal with such cheap propaganda.

It is indeed a problem that parts of this film base on real events. Reality is mixed with malicious lie. The Turks have some reason to be insulted since the US-troops in fact captured some Turkish soldiers in Iraq. It would have been more intelligent not to do so, but as we all know war is war... Parts of the Abu Grahib thing were also true, but the complete rest of the film is dumb fiction. Now the makers of this propaganda plot are telling the Turkish public that 60 - 70 % of their film is based on reality. They blindfold the common people with their propaganda. This is the point were something has to be done.

Turkish people have to know that 80% of this farce are lies.

The people seeing the film are Turkish nationalists, not Islamists.

It sounds like this film may play the useful role of demonstrating that the notion there are moderate Muslims is a lie. This film is a smash in Turkey, which is supposed to be filled with moderate Muslims. But if it is really a hate film, then that shows what's going thru the mind of the "moderate" Muslim.

IMDB listings for their filmographies.

Gary Busey

Billy Zane

Gary Busey's career peaked when he played Buddy Holly. Billy Zane jumped the shark after the starring role in a modern adapatation of an Ed Wood script.
