The Muhammad cartoon protest took a new direction in Pakistan this week as demonstrators took to the streets in Islamabad brandishing signs that proclaimed "God Bless Hitler."
Tens of thousands of people took part in the latest round of protests, which took place throughout Pakistan - with gunfire and rioting erupting in some precincts. By midweek, three people, including an 8-year-old boy, had been killed.
Pakistani intelligence officials told The Associated Press that members of outlawed Islamic militant groups had joined the protests and were inciting violence to undermine the government of President Gen. Pervez Musharraf.
Rioting also broke out near the tribal region of South Waziristan, where some say al-Qaida chief Osama bin Laden is hiding.
Despite wide coverage of the Pakistani protests, the incendiary pro-Nazi placards were ignored in Western media accounts.
But a photograph posted to the Web site of the German TV news station N-TV.de (http://www.n-tv.de/634520.html) shows several Pakistani women clad in traditional Muslim garb holding aloft a large white poster with a message spelled out in English: "God Bless Hitler."
The image of the pro-Hitler placard was picked up by the U.S.-based Web site JihadWatch.org.
Uh...I hate to burst their bubble but...I suspect Hitler would not have found Muslims part of his 'superior race'.

Hitler was very pro-Muslim in his dealings. Of course, that had more to do with realpolitik, but he assisted Muslims in propaganda campaigns, was very close with the Mufti of Jerusalem Haj Amin Muhammad al-Husseini, and claimed he would assist the budding independence movements in the ME. He helped make the Palestinian movement what it was and continues to be.

I stand corrected. I think, however, it was more of a 'what can they do to help me get rid of the Jewish race' relationship than any real belief that they were his equal.
A rational person would think so, But Hitler was not rational and he saw potential in the radical phanaticism of Muslims. The Muslims he inducted in the SS were white Europeans from Bosnia, not dark skinned Arabs.
Do you mean that the nasty SS troops from Bosnia were actually Muslims? Did Clinton know that when he went, without Congressional approval, to "liberate" Bosnians from the terrible Serbs? Then the Muslims attacked us on our own shores and elsewhere. This is all so confusing... help me out here! Are the Clintons really closet Muslims?

Sadaam's uncle and "hero" was a Nazi and Sadaam's Bath Party was based on the Hitler-Nazi Party. Nazi party members were welcome in Iraq during WW II.
Syria has the same ruling Bath-Nazi Party. Which helps explain why many of the WMD went to his "brothers" in Syria just before Gulf War II.
The Serbian, Bosnian, and Croatian wars were supported as partial replays of WW I and WW II. The Russians were helping fellow "Slavic peoples" and the Muslims were fighting with fellow Muslims.
It is and was more complicated, but I believe, somewhat accurate.
(Like they know anything about the one true God.)
Other Bosnian Muslims who hadn't belonged to the SS also joined the Partisans, although at first they were reluctant to do so because of the Communists being atheists.
There are several pages on Bosnia in WWII in Noel Malcolm's history of Bosnia--it was pretty nasty all around with everyone killing everyone.

Arafat claimed to have been born in Jerusalem.. He lived there a various periods of his life...

What you say is true. The uneducated masses consume all that is force fed to them without fact checking. That is why this whole mess is the political spin of bunch of zealots who need to be stopped. The US understands it, as do most educated societies. The EU (some parts) are starting to get it and the rest of the world is as mindless as the terrorists and, even worse, wont get it.
