Gun shop owned by NRA board member loses its license

Federal agents revoked the firearms license yesterday of a prominent Baltimore County gun shop owned by a National Rifle Association board member, pointing to his repeated failure to account for hundreds of guns listed in his inventory since 1997. "We don't want firearms getting into the hands of criminals," said David McCain, assistant special agent in charge of the Baltimore field office of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. "If we come in and find they're not complying with the regulations, we have to enforce the law."

No responsible FFL dealer I know would let 650 weapons just 'disappear'. There's definitely something shady going on at that store.

The Feds shouldn't be involved in gun sales anyway. Talk about hypocrites, the FEDS are one of the biggest arms suppliers in the world.

"ordered by the ATF to provide detailed reports on all gun purchases and sales for the previous three years, and to continue providing such reports monthly."

This is disturbing.

I have to wonder what the real story is here, the feds simply wanting to make a NRA board member look bad? Something doesn't sound right here.

There are bad people everywhere even in the NRA. Being a LIFE Member, I want to say that if this turns out to be true about this Abrams person; he will not get this LIFE Members vote for anything. The NRA stands for AMERICA and all the members need to keep our credibility at the place we are at.

You are probably right. A Congressional committee is currently investigating abuses of gun owners at the insistance of the NRA and GOA. This is probably a set-up payback by the BATFE.

Hmmmhhh...???

Looks like he has been on BATF's S**T LIST for quite some period of time???

Since he does business in the "Shadow" of BATF's headquarters, he is REALLY under a microscope!!!

You're right and this guy is lucky. The last time the BATF abuses were being investigated, they attacked a church and murdered the men, women, and children inside. They'll be at one of their racist BBQs bragging about this come spring.
