The Post deserves a lot of credit for getting it out to it's print and on-line readers.
I'm glad that you posted the link, even though I've read it ( THREE TIMES! LOL ), but others probably haven't and your link made it possible for them to do so. So, kudos to you, too!
Thanks for posting the whole letter! It was an inspiring read!
Now why isn't this being featured all over the MSM? Rhetorical question of course, but it IS frustrating when people don't read/hear about the gratitude of the Iraqi people.
It can never be printed often enough for me.
It can never be printed often enough for me.
oooops...sorry.
Thanks for the ping Fred. The mayor's letter was really touching. It looks like there ARE Iraqis who like us after all, and are glad we're in Iraq, not that the MSM would ever let us know that.
It's a shame that the letter was never publicized in the MSM, seems they only report on news from Iraq when its negative >:(
Every time I hear some tinhorn reporter on TV talk about how Iraq is "turning into Vietnam" and how the "Iraqis want us out" I want to climb into the TV screen and punch them in the face.
I'm under the impression that anything that does not back up the quagmire scenario will not get the attention it deserves in the MSM... or is it the ENEMEDIA.
Either way, I'm thankful in this day and age it's now the "old media" and folks can get real news and indepth analysis on sites like Freep, LGF, and Jihadwatch.
"To those who spread smiles on the faces of our children, and gave us restored hope, through their personal sacrifice and brave fighting, and gave new life to the city after hopelessness darkened our days, and stole our confidence in our ability to reestablish our city."
"God bless this brave Regiment; God bless the families who dedicated these brave men and women. From the bottom of our hearts we thank the families. They have given us something we will never forget. To the families of those who have given their holy blood for our land, we all bow to you in reverence and to the souls of your loved ones. Their sacrifice was not in vain. They are not dead, but alive, and They will never be forgotten for giving their precious lives. They have sacrificed that which is most valuable. We see them in the smile of every child, and in every flower growing in this land.
Those who appreciate FREEDOM the most, are those that know what it's like to NOT have it.
How sad that there are so many in this Country that would deny freedom to the Iraqis! The ENEMEDIA will do all it can to bury the great news and keep it from the American public.
God Bless our soldiers and their families!
THANK YOU for your service and sacrifice!
Thanks Jan...
