Man found with teen boy in Alameda arrested
By Peter Hegarty
STAFF WRITER
Police arrested a Hayward man after they said a patrol officer discovered him having sex with a teenage boy in his car outside a business on Blanding Avenue.
The officer checked the car, which was parked behind Curves at 2528 Blanding Ave. early Sunday morning because the neighborhood has been the site of recent commercial burglaries and the officer considered the car suspicious.
Kaleem Mohammed Qureshi, 35, was dressed as a woman and admitted having sex with the 16-year-old Alameda boy shortly before the officer approached the silver 2005 Ford Escape, according to police.
Police said Qureshi and the boy met about two weeks ago through the popular Internet site Craigslist.org.
Qureshi also admitted that he and the boy exchanged explicit photos of each other via e-mail before they agreed to meet in Alameda, investigators said.
