Yep, right before retiring for the evening to his 13 million dollar NY City mansion.

I'm starting to love these guys, they do so much damage to their own worldview, Bellicose Belafonte's rants should be shoved in the face of every American for fourscore generations. The GOP would have about 101 out of 100 Senate seats after a couple of months of mandatory exposure to such leftwing paranoid idiocy. Best way to beat your opponents, is to get the public classically conditioned BF Skinner style, so the American people automatically associates "Democratic values" with stupidity, hysteria, and downright nastiness.

Thumbs up, Harry! Thumbs up!

The King children made the final decision, Belafonte said, but they were "fiercely intimidated by the president's representatives."

I think what he really meant was,

"President Bush wouldn't pay for my airline ticket or my limosine, and I'm too cheap to pay for it myself, so I couldn't go."

Did the AARP ever get around to apologizing for making this asshat "Man of the Year"?

My dues are up next month and I'm seriously considering canceling my membership. Any other AARP members considering doing the same? I heard there is supposed to be an alternative, more conservative retirees organization out there now, anyone know the name of it?

Oh for heavens sake. Did anyone else see the funeral? He had quite a few "enemies" there. I didnt see anyone stomp on Carter and that preacher for speaking their mind. Belafonte is a scaredy cat. This is crock.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Secret Service told the King family that either the President would attend or Belafonte, that they wouldn't allow Belafonte in close proximity to the President, and told them to choose.

So, ahh, just about a month after the event, and he's just now saying this?

I think people will draw one of two conclusions from this..

1) No one cared why Belafonte wasn't there, and only now, on a slow news day, does anyone even bother to get around to reading the twenty press releases he's sent out...

-or-

2) Editors around the nation realized that they hadn't had enough Bush is a racist connections in their newspapers, so thus went digging for one to use; it only happened today because the editors also forgot that Black History Month was last month and are fixing to demonstrate that they cover blacks outside of the sacred month.

Secret Service doesn't do things that way. They say 'This guy isn't allowed to breach security.' No choices, no arguments. Makes for interesting arguments every time there's a big speech at a black church.

Well, because I was able to get a decent life insurance policy without a medical exam. I also didn't know at the time what a flaming liberal organization they were.

Now I do know, and I'm pretty sure New York Life won't drop me if I tell AARP to go suck an egg.....

In essence, this man is saying that he has no control over what he does ie other people (even Bush) controls him. How sad, and how psychologically immature he is. If all Liberals do this, no wonder they are messed up.

These people just do not accept responsibility for their actions or thoughts!

Humm, might be, looks interesting...

But I remember a brief bit on Fox, can't remember which show, but anyway they had these 2 guys on from a new conservative retirees group, talking about all of AARP's stunts. I wrote the name down on a piece of paper then lost it. They called themselves soming like the National Alliance of Conservative Retirees, or something like that...

This USA Next looks pretty interesting though, thanks!

You can take the idiot out of the ghetto, but you can't take the ghetto out of the idiot...

Belafonte should drop to his knees and thank whatever he worships that he was a black in America, and not Africa or elsewhere....

There he wouldn't have amounted to more than a pimple on a monkey's ass.
