If you think the port deal is wrong, you have every right to say so as loud as you want to. You would have to be insane not to be leery of Arab Muslims right now.
What the President's supporters are telling you is they were leery, too and they took percautions to ensure nothing bad would happen. Given what we have seen and know of Islam, you are just fine to disagree and should disagree if that is the way you see it.
I don't know what to think about it but it feels risky to me and at the same time, I can understand how they are trying to befriend the UAE government who is helping with nabbing terrorists. Ann Coulter suggested we thank the UAE with a fruit basket rather than our ports. LOL

He insisted that India was a hindu country and I had to remind him that the official religion and the percentile of the population were not necessarily the same thing. I have a fear alright, and that's that my children will have to live in the itshole of a world of oppression, terror, and turmoil that has been left in the wake of nations "undergoing a transition" to becoming entirely muslim controlled with absolutely no real rights as non-muslims.
After that, I merely see reality, and reality here is that the socio-political implications of Islam are a carbon copy of what they were when Nazism threatened the globe. The fact that it's all driven by a "religion" that has insanity and a madman as a basis is irrelevant insofar as I am concerned.
I don't care what muslims do. I just don't want my nation and its way of life turned on its head with its people threatened.

You are right about it being Islam not just Arab Muslims who are violent and hateful. I don't think it is racist to point out that Arab Muslims attacked us and we are at war in Middle East. Given that, it would be insane not to notice that Arab Muslims are the biggest threat to us. If that is racist, I don't care.
Michael Savage is the only talk show host talking about this now. The others are all on "the port deal is good", band wagon.
