Probably the cops are too busy snooping around the library to see what subversive books grandma is checking out and making sure she's not taking an extra painkiller on the sly.

Seeing how this is from World Nut Daily, something tells me it isn't true or totally twisted around.

Well, it IS WND, so who knows if it's true ?

You wouldn't lose money by betting that the stories in WND are mostly false -- and the more sensational they are, the more false they're likely to be.

The story is a bit silly. "Well, ossifer, I remembered these here mugshots from the paper two years ago, and I seen him right here! And what's even worse, he spoke perfect English!.

Note that the only reason we "know" that the FBI has no interest is because these folks didn't get a call-back. Of course, the fact that an in-person discussion couldn't add anything to what they already reported has nothing to do with it....

And (gasp!) isn't it amazing that this story turns into a plug for a book written by a WND contributor!

Gasp!!! I know three different people who look uncannily like those mugshots! (I kid you not -- I really do.)

One has a Hispanic heritage, and the other two are from India. Two of the guys I work with, and the other is my son's endocrinologist.

Which leads us to the moral of the story: mugshots are all well and good, but I really strongly doubt that any of the three guys I know is Adnan el-Shukrijumah.

In 2002, I called the Anti-Terrorism Unit in Chicago about two muslim physician's that bragged about giving a lot of money to a muslim charity that they knew supported Pallie families after they lost children that were suicide bombers.

Guess who got the 3rd degree? Me, the strike team member parroted the administrations line "hijacked", "religion of peace", "good muslims" etc,,, All of the stupidity of the Bush Admin. I was so disappointed that they ignored these physicians. They commited a felony and will continue to send money to the terrorists. Our nation is run by fools! I'm sorry, but that's the sad truth.

>>The lack of response, Williams says, is completely incongruous with the statements of Mueller and Ashcroft, the issuance of the BOLO, the posting of the $5 million reward, and the FBI's continuous requests for any information regarding el-Shukrijumah.<<

This seems a little odd, as Ashcroft is no longer the Attorney General. Something does not add up here.

I spoke with someone in the story, it is true, this is old news to only a few, and due to Specter's office refusing to make this public, the people in this story needed a public outlet, and WND provided that.

None of the local papers in their area would cover it in any depth, nor was there any apparent interest by our federal officials.

Same here which is why I think this story is a case of misidentification that World Nut Daily is blowing out of proportion.

The rumors among the intelligence circles is that he is the one who intends to detonate a nuke here.

No, the story is true, I have spoken with persons mentioned in the story, I was unable to release this to FR in time, so, someone else posted it.

You dont know me, but, trust me on this, it is true.

We don't know the whole story here... FBI may want to observe these guys, hoping to see what they are planning. The fact that the couple who reported the siting didn't get their 15 minutes of glory by being personally contacted does not mean govt agents aren't on top of it. Sorry, I give the people who are out there protecting us from these terrorists creeps more credit than that.

I have no doubt that the story is "true" insofar as these folks saw a guy who looks like the salamikaze, and such.

The problem is, his pictures really do look just like three people that I know personally. From my perspective, seeing a guy who looks like those pictures is interesting, but not a big deal.

And I'd also point out that "lack of a call-back" means nothing insofar as the FBI's interest (or lack thereof) is concerned.

The problem, as usual, is that this story is from WND -- and they are not trustworthy interpreters of any story.

You know, it really never ceases to amaze me how even amongst conservatives, so many of us will just completely dismiss a story right out of hand simply because it doesn't appear in the "correct" news sources.

I believe you, and I believe this story. And while it may well be that these folks misidentified someone, it is totally impossible that they were actually right?

I just don't understand this government at all. We're constantly told to be vigilant and that we're still in danger to be attacked, but then when an ordinary citizen exercises vigilance in the proper manner, he either gets ignored, or even dismissed outright as a "nut".

I completely understand why 9/11 happened despite all the warning signals, and there's no longer any doubt in my mind whatsoever that we're going to suffer another major attack yet again at some point. We really haven't learned anything.

This makes me BEYOND nauseas. I have friends that have property all over Lake Isabella, and that live in the area. Trust me, these Arabs would stick out like a sore thumb! LI has a population of under 100 people, and EVERYONE knows everyone else!

I've eaten in that same cafe, and I know that they could easily be identifies... and with them being spotted around the area, they may definitely be dangerous, armed, and criminally involved. But hey... I could be wrong. But with a bounty on his head?

This is scary, knowing how much of our food and water goes through that area. Particularly the California Aquifer. They could easily drop poison or biomatter into it and it would had straight into the LA Basin Water system. And it's NOT PROTECTED! *gah* I should make a phone call... maybe my friends will let me in on the cut. :)
