Friday is the day of prayers. It usually is a big trouble day. I don't expect Bush to visit on such a day.

BAGHDAD, March 2 (Reuters) - Iraq's government declared a daytime curfew on Friday, the Muslim day of prayers, state televison said late on Thursday.

Sectarian violence since the bombing of a Shi'ite shrine in Samarra on Feb. 22 has killed at least 478 people, according to conservative official estimates, pushing Iraq to the brink of civil war.

It's a diversion. Bush will go to Pakistan that day. On another note, try doing a google search on Bush's travel plans. Nothing announced for this trip that I could see.

A caller to one of the radio talk shows was complaining yesterday that Pres Bush saw fit to visit Afghanistan, but didn't visit Iraq and never has. The host didn't dispute that. How often has the Pres been to Iraq?

"How often has the Pres been to Iraq?"

At least once. Remember the Thanksgiving Day visit?

I do remember at least one of those. Sharing turkey with the troops. Even the First Lady was unaware of the planned visit.
