Is there any doubt in your mind that you would be able to function in such circumstances?

He certainly made me and countless others feel a little better following the Challenger accident.

I'm not sure of the exact quote but it was always stirring when he said "the time is now, to recpature our own destiny!" I think that might have originated with his pro-Goldwater speech of 1964. He repeated that theme in his 1980 convention acceptance speech which was remarkably well received.
