How to Format the Tony Snow Frontpage

At the end of the last tutorial, I mentioned, in passing, the Xinha plugin for Firefox. For those of us that are comfortable with new tools and internet browsers, this makes formatting Tony's FR Frontpage much easier.

You have to have the Firefox Browser which can be installed from here.

Next the Xinha pluggin can be installed from here.

And the FR thread on this here.

If you are using the Xinha plugin, you start with the FR Create Thread and paste in the template HTML which can be downloaded here (right click and save target as) into the FR "Thread Message" box.

Next right click in the message box, and select "Open Xinha Here"

To bring up the editor window itself

Now, as before, go to Tony's Home page. and select the text and graphics from "On the Show Today":

Now just go back to Xinhu, and paste the select over the "stub" that's been placed there.

And you get something like this:

I will usually add a "new line" at the end of the titles, so that they align a little better:

And if you are really ambitious, you can change the alignment of the images to "left" and make it look even better:

Finally, for reference, my recommendations from the previous thread on the rest of the form:

Title of Thread: The Tony Snow Show Thread - [Today's Date]

Topics: news

Keywords: FOXNEWS; TALKRADIO; TONYSNOW; TONYSNOWSHOW; WOOF

Author: Tony Snow

Date Published: [Today's Date]

Source: The Tony Snow Show

Source URL: http://www.tonysnow.com
if you use foxnews/tonysnow you will have to fight the automated excerpt Nazi

Body of thread: HTML from above

This is an excerpt: Unchecked

Comment: anything else you might want to say

And there, you're done. Your head didn't explode, your computer didn't explode, and you didn't get any HTML on your clothes.

If it takes more that a minute, your doing something wrong.

It's so easy, even Tony can do it. Even though he feigns ignorance of such things, if he can teach calculus to teenagers, he can do this.

BTW, if Tony's webmaster ever misses his deadline again, my mock up is available here.

"I would never piss off a Scot. Amen. Period."

Wise call. That's exactly what Bin Ladin did on 9/11.

And what the Japanese did on Dec. 7.

Substitute the term "redneck" (for some American Scots) and you pretty much got the idea.

A Scot has no intention of dying fighting, but to get you to die fighting.

I would like to find out exactly what Duncan is talking about in terms of the nuclear centrifuges allegedly shipped over our protests.

Iraq Survey Group Final Report

I'm not clear on what "over our protests" consists of. Other than some allegations of bribery at the ports, the various reports have Dubai (UAE) as "the place" of a property transfer, but don't claim that the port authority was wilfully ignorant or complicit or not cooperative with counterproliferation efforts.

Yes!

Here is the link. Now Yale will have to recruit more Taliban to balance out the number of Military recruiters who will be wandering around campus. ;)

Not sure, but I think I heard a soundbite from President Bush saying that he was going to introduce legislation......

I'll try to find something definitive on line.

Duncan Hunter is a charter member of the new Opportunist Wing of the republican party.

Honorary member of the Donner Party too.
