The gift certificates are what shoots that total value up, and they're all but useless. A typical one is a week at a luxury resort, valued at $15,000 or more. Problem is that the resort is on Mauritius, in the Indian Ocean, and airfare isn't included. And the celebs can't even give them away, since it's specifically only for them. So they end up throwing them away, but in the meantime all the publicity has talked about how valuable that useless gift is.
The author is on the most hated conservatives list on the DU site. Hollywood DU'er libs must be spitting nails.
