Not me. I don't understand why they need this show trial anyway. Poor defendants on trial for murder in the US usually have a 1 or 2 day trial and then receive their sentence. They certainly have enough evidence from just one murder to kill him off. This sham has gone on much too long.

Would have sent a more powerful message to his followers to have stood him up against a wall at capture and executed him by firing squad. They would have respected that treatment.

I'd say that in the case of this Moussaoui guy, we might want to go for life in prison with no possibility of parole, because he looks forward to being executed so he will be a martyr, and we don't want him to have that satisfaction.

But Saddam's different. Saddam doesn't welcome death, he runs and hides from it. It scares him. To him, death will not be a reward, it will be punishment. So hang him.
