One of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's top political advisers is taking in big bucks from liberal moneyman George Soros to create a massive Democratic voter database.........Harold Ickes, a former White House deputy chief-of-staff to Bill Clinton and a campaign aide to Hillary, is collecting more than $10 million in the bid to outflank the GOP's high-tech research, The Washington Post revealed yesterday.

His secretive effort is ruffling feathers at Howard Dean's DNC, the outfit officially tasked with building detailed voter lists.

Ickes, who's partnering with Democratic operative and former DNC research guru Laura Quinn, is mounting the computer research bid in a not-so-subtle no-confidence vote in Dean's record-keeping.

Ickes lost out to Dean last year in a bid to be the Dems' party boss. "It's unclear what the DNC is doing"....

Clinton, who already inherited hubby Bill's massive national fund-raising network, could get first dibs on new, first-rate voter records built to rival the GOP research network grown on Karl Rove's watch.

Insiders say Clinton has long fretted that the party's liberal leaders lacked the discipline to build up the party infrastructure as Republicans have done.

The GOPers have streaked past the Democrats in building such a comprehensive voter database they can tailor campaign mail to a single voter's pet issue, everything from abortion to gun owners' rights. Ickes' effort would allow Clinton to engage individual voters in much the same way.

Soros - who spent tens of millions of dollars trying to defeat President Bush in 2004 - is a key fund-raiser in this latest Dem effort, for which Ickes has already raised $7.5 million.

Hillary, the questionable American, is surrounding herself with others of the same bent. George Soros hates America and Harold Ickes has no interest in what's best for America and Americans, his interests have, like his father (who I think was fired by Truman) been only in creating wealth for himself as he has for Hillary. the past, ... "Rhetorically she will invoke the halcyon days of the 1990s. The fact is she knows that people are concerned very much on the future and that she very much has to address that.” Harold Ickes. In short, Soros and Ickes are going to re-run the rapist in a pant suit.

Hillary has several law suits against her pending; should she be running at all?

This will get ugly before it is over. Dean will not go quietly into the night. He has enough support from the crazy a$$ wing of the Democrat Party to initiate a Clinton document dump, including the Barrett Report. Kerry and Gore have a vested interest in as much mess as possible being unleashed on Hill, but can't be seen as being behind it. Neither will unseat Hillary as a candidate unless they can bring out enough mess to not just sink her but as show her as being able to drag the Democrat Party into the deep end of the pool with her.

How complicated is it to send a flyer saying "Bush SUX!!!" to every registered Democrat. Do they have any other issues?

Besides abortion, that is. I guess they may have to filter out the pro-abortion drum-beat for some registered Democrats who are fooling themselves about what their party stands for.

I think the Clinton's will succeed in creating a very sophisticated database. That list will include enemies, a hit list, and all sorts of information.
